Man is built by nature to eat Meat, the problem came along later with all the processing. There's a lot to be said for sticking to a Caveman diet, meaning no refined substances like salt, sugar, flour etc, basically anything that is white, that includes things like Potatoes and other farmed vegetables. Remember, its not the Meat that causes the problem but the rest of your Diet reacting with it. :drink:

BTW, For those interested, Aubergine or Eggplant is a good substitute for any minced meat recipe as it takes on flavour better than most Vegetables. Just slice in 1/4 inches and then chop into little squares. :drink:

I kid you not, I just ate half a steak and two chicken breasts for lunch. Then I read this thread. Is it too late to start?

 Yeah-I'm born & raised in the midwest (aka-red meat is my diet)

Morning star farms = horrible. Actually, I guess the bacon is kind of tolerable.

I will be on Levi's level some day. Going to take work though.

my mother has some amazing recipes for indian vegetarian dishes that aren't hard to make, and if you'd rather have someone else do the legwork, you could always swing by the indian store nearest to you and get pre-made masala packets, mix w/water, yogurt, etc. and add peas, potatoes, kidney beans, chickpeas, etc.

Delicious. Gotta learn how to make all this stuff for myself.

You all banned heatohio a little too late, he would have been all about this thread.

Asian spices is the answer to all bland food especially Vegetables and leaving aside Yougurt and cream, the only fattening and bad thing in Indian cuisin is the oil you cook it in and if you use Rapeseed oil, you've minimised that. :drink:
