Not sure why ole miss is destined to lose, no way they should be catching points IMO, they got nfl ready players all over the field. Game should be a pick.... Like someone mentioned earlier, if Bo Wallace doesn't make dumb mistakes ole miss will win. I'm not a homer. I have faded ole miss in cbb and cfb a shit load more than I backed them, not even close.... But ole miss has a very talented team, the defense is the real deal..
That's why they play the game.............Just look at it this way........If Stephen Garcia can do it then Bo could as Bo> Stephen Garcia so anything is possible....................Ole Miss needs to tackle WR Cooper on those short plays (all plays actually) especially if Ole Miss loads up the box to stop the run.....Amari Cooper is probably the reason I didn't play the game..
Ole miss has laquon Treadwell, he is the real deal too... Ole Miss has arguably three first round draft picks on defense in nkemdiche, tony Connor and all American knock your Fukkin lights out Cody prewitt. Would not be surprised if Cooper gets hurt.. Ole miss secondary lays wood and they will be looking to hit mr cooper hard but I do think amari is the best receiver in the country but I also think ole miss' laquon treadwell may have a brighter future in the nfl cause he is only 18 or 19 years old..
Johnny Reb, I don't think we are "destined" to lose. For me its more Ole Miss has to show me we can Win... Alabama has always owned us. They have won 10 straight in the series.. It's almost the total opposite of Ole Miss playing LSU.. Most every year Ole Miss plays LSUs ass off or wins outright. We Fans know that we're going to have a chance to win that game no matter how good LSU is or how bad Ole Miss is.
Last year we were 3-0 coming off a dominant win over Texas and coming off a bye week headed to Bama.. Line opened at 18 and got bet down 12.5 with everyone saying the upset is a real possibility... Well we got beat 25-0 and didn't sniff the end zone. I know that was a different team but the same coaches and schemes are still in play. I agree that our D is as real as it gets.. We fly to the ball and knock the living hell out of everybody.. The D will keep us around for sure... BUT can we score on them? I don't know the answer to that. That's why I say show me. Freeze offense got shut down last year in the same scenario. It's one of them see it to believe it scenarios and that's the way it should be. We haven't earned the right to be favored over Bama and I think the line is solid. That Oline and Bo have to prove they can get it done against a big physical D. Ill tell you this... When Sims gets out of the pocket and runs we need to absolutely punish him...
I can't wait for Saturday because we will know where we stand against top competition... We will get physically dominated like last year, or we will hold our on and lose a close game, or we will finally beat Alabama... If either of the last 2 happens that will show that were on course to being a top program.... If 1 happens we are still a year or 2 away. No matter what we will know where we stand after Saturday.

Oxford/Ole Miss is super weird about alcohol. Archaic laws. As you are walking into campus towards Grove, do NOT just carry your beer. If you're carrying it just like a case, someone will make you pour it out. We agree its stupid. Carry it in a cooler. And when you want to drink, pour your beer in a cup. Odd? Yes. But that's just how we have to do it. I've seen visitors have entire cases poured out just because they didn't know better.
To make things even weirder, you can have liquor out no problem.

The Rib cage and Handy Andy's are the name of the onesI eat at regularly and it's right of the square. Never had the Ribs but the BBQ quesadilla and BBQ chicken quesadilla are great...Handy Andy's has been in Oxford for a long long time. AJAX diner is a great southern cooking diner.. Big Bad Breakfast is a must... BBB is just unreal but be hungry when you go.. The Beacon Restaurant is a hole in the wall that has a great burger and country fried steak.... Proud Larry's and soul shine s are good pizza joints with a good atmosphere... All of them 5 are affordable and very good... Oxford has great food everywhere. You can spend as much as you want or cheap as you want... I would tell ya not to eat chained restaurants and go find some locally owned places... City Grocery and Old Taylor Cafe are probably the most famous in Oxford but will be packed. Want a victory steak... I've only eaten here once but it was great... Delta Steak Company- jumbo shrimp and the 20 oz Ribeye were great... Heard the filet was great as well...
Damn fine break down..... John currence is a James beard award winning chef , he owns city grocery and boure (with Eli manning) and those are on the square... He also has Big bad breakfast and he now owns the Lamar bar on north Lamar about a mile north of the square..... The rib cage has the best bbq sauce I've ever eaten, more of a liquidy sauce, love their bbq nachos...... Like toddy said Ajax has the best soul food around. It takes a while for them to get it to you but worth the wait..... If u eat at proud larrys (on the square also) I would get the creole catfish and it comes with a bad ass roumelode sauce..... I have not eaten at delta steak company yet but have heard great things, I think it's located on college hill road now..... Taylor catfish is east of Oxford about seven miles and you can't beat the ambiance of that place (byob) ...... Main eating spots are on the square, nothin really stands out on Jackson avenue as far as food......Again, great breakdown toddy
Shit dude my grandmother started taking me to the beacon when I was months old. Been going there 39 years, lived behind the beacon on Rogers road for two years in my twenties. They have a grilled cheeseburger that's good. I usually get the fried but the grilled is nice too....... Another thing that should be mentioned is there is no better looking girls in this world. They red shirt miss Americas at ole miss. There are some girls here that make Gisele look like shit. Go to the grove a couple hours before the game and see for yourself.
