I bought a Savage box myself, and recommended it to many other people who ended up purchasing them. I’m not sure why Tony hasn’t posted in here recenty about what happened. From my grasp of things, they had a partner back out and were left the option of charging a monthly fee for service or using a build that they had created themselves. The owner of the company Dave has posted his phone number on the standardard Inc Facebook page and said to call him man to man, to speak about the changes. So if anyone is that troubled by the change, I’d suggest calling him.
1) The old savage build was 500x better than the new beast build.
2) If you have Real Debrid, the movie/tv shows are still flawless.
3) I haven’t had to order a UFC/Boxing card in months, so IMO I’m ahead money.
The biggest problem with the new update/downgrade is the sports content on a regular basis. I haven’t reached out to Tony or David yet, but after watching David’s FB video post today, I feel like he is trying to make things right. Most companies like this would of said F*ck You and ran with your money. Maybe if enough of us reach out to David/Tony about building on the sports section, they’ll listen...

Yeah, agree with most of this.
David put his # on the site when he came unhinged after I complained about all the downgrades and said I should have just bought a Beast to begin with cause that's what I ended up with. He tried to get me to add him on Messenger, tried to call me, threatened me by posting his phone # and saying "now what?", made a video disparaging me, and replied to my posts calling my comments stupid. How's that for customer service?
Looks like most of the comments have been deleted as of this morning. The video is still up, where him and his buddies pile on me for daring to make a negative comment about the fact that without warning or explanation my box has been turned into a shell of its former usefulness.
This was all in response to one comment, after I have regularly given positive feedback and have recommended several customers before all this went down.
What's funny is in the video he gets all hung up on verbiage: "it is impossible to turn a Savage into a Beast". Yeah, ok, technically, but it IS possible to install and run a Beast build on a Savage.
Then he goes on to admit that the # of premium add-ons have gone way down, and we lost auto-updating.
So essentially I have a Beast now.
Then he scolds me for not knowing the specifics of what's going on on his side, even though to this point no one has told us. And frankly I don't really care about his specific business conditions. My inclination is to say if you do business with shady people, shady shit is probably gonna happen. Happy they did this instead of letting the boxes die, but don't act like customers should be kissing your ass for it. I bought one thing and now I have something lesser. As a customer that's all I truly care about.

Finally catching up with this thread. It's been a while. Bought two Savage boxes at the beginning of this thread. Are you guys seriously not happy with the boxes? I love mine. Still saving $125 a month from my old DirecTV bill and catching every game, every PPV, every movie, live TV, etc. Customer service has been awesome. Box working perfect. ???
The performance has really gone down the past 2 months. Live streams constantly freezing or closing out. Wouldn't think it's my internet connection as it worked near flawlessly when I first got it. Now today it's not working at all saying a mandatory update is required except the update won't download because it's an "invalid file". Terrarium TV still works but you don't need a $350 streaming box for that.
