I lost Misty 12-22-15 due to illness. Vet couldn't save her. Now my new cat that I got 11 months ago isn't feeling well. Not her usual self the last couple days. Not sleeping on me like he usually does. Sleeping in the chair won't even get up to eat. He did use the litter box 1 time yesterday. He's not his happy self when I get up this morning. Quiet and won't even eat his favorite piece of cheese that he loves. But then I put his bowl of dry food by him he finally nibbled a little. I think hes sick or either a good faker. Tigger is on closeful watch.

By the way. I took him to the vet 2 weeks ago for flea treatment and very poor skin problems. Hes healed very nicely but now acting lethargic and/or ill or just my imagination that's something wrong. I just wish he would eat normal and use the litter box. Something's wrong. Prayers welcome.

Quit feeding him cheese and get rid of the flea treatment.

That poison goes into their skin and poisons them.

I don't know where to start but kitty is feeling better now. Yes I know about the cats need water. He was to sick or lethargic to go to his food and water so I brought it to kitty. He started drinking it very early after my post. So I saved my kitty's life. I'm overjoyed at the moment as he's laying on me again which he hadn't done the last few days. Of course kitty will let me know who he's feeling Thurs.
Thanx Betall for advice and others for good info.
Also GB luv all the videos especially the one with the kitties playing in the boxes. How do I save this thread.

Is this an Outside cat ?
I ask because if he/she is an indoor cat there's really no need for a Flea treatment of any kind.
anyway, when they do go for something like that. I Believe being lethargic is one of the side affects. But then again you did say 2 weeks ago
and I would guess that shouldn't be the case, lasting 2 weeks.

As much as I HATE the Vet, as they have you by the balls when it comes to your Pet.
I would take him back... or maybe at first Call and tell them what's happening. because maybe they can tell you these are side affects of whatever
treatment he/she just had.

Tigger is indoor cat only. He needed the treatment because the fleas like these apartments. I'm being serious. The fleas are a pesky bug to get rid of. Did a flea bomb before a year back. Tigger was scratching at the Auburn Valley Humane Society where I got him.

Kitty was fine until the last couple days after the treatment and was on an antibiotic Cephalaxen for 2 weeks. Post more later.

Seems to me like thats what happened here. I don't know anything about any of this stuff but if that is what happens: Flea Treatment Chemicals can absorb into a Cat's skin then its does seem like a Lethargic Cat could be the outcome. I'm glad to hear The Cat is doing better.

This is why I asked what brand (no response). It makes a huge difference...

I don't get at all how some dudes don't like Cats. Generally Cats don't mess with people, they keep it on the DownLow, go about their own Business. An Unpleasant Cat, yeah I get how a dude might not like an Unpleasant Cat but I haven't met many Unpleasant Cats. Plus Cats have been around a long ass time. Back to Egypt. Maybe even before that. Cats have a kind of Mystical Groove. They slink around. Mysterious-like, as though they have some thing Serious to attend to. That only they Know About. Some Cats anyway.

My dogs just got on an oral monthly flea pill. One of em didnt eat the night he had taken the pill and may have been not feeling well. Next day he was fine. I dont think the effects would make the cat sick for weeks.

Me too.. and people that love cats

Ya'll are just Trolling. You Guys Love Cats.

Inconceivable that anyone could Hate Cats.

Ain't Nair a Cat ever done a single thing to be Worthy of being Hated. Maybe one scratched up a chair once or one barfed on a rug.

Past that tho: Nothing.

FYI I was seeing if the kitty would eat it. If he does he's ok. If he doesn't want it he's sick.
