Where do you guys think is the best place to buy a TV these days, since this thread is 4 years old ?

I'm looking for a 32" LCD set.

Walmart ( in store) has samsung LN32D403 for $298 as a probable option for me. Their cheapest seems to be an emerson for $228.

Is Amazon likely the best place ?

No matter what anyone tells you, don't buy anything but a Samsung product. They are far and away the BEST HDTV out there. But if I were you, I'd buy nothing less than a 42" TV. There probably isn't that much of a price difference and you'll thank me for talking you into a larger model. Figure it out, a TV should last you 15 years at least. If a 42" TV cost you $300 more, it's only 20$ per year. That's about .40c a week.

I agree. I am partial to Samsung as well, but I did breakdown and buy a 55in top of the line Model LED LG TV last time because I was given a deal that I couldn't pass up when the Samsung I wanted was out of stock. Well, I love this TV. It's true, that some do really stand out from others. Go view them in a local store and see which your eyes might like best, and your wallet to boot. Pick 1-2 that you think standout. Find the best deal. buy. Enjoy. This football season will be the best yet.

100% avoid Apex and Phillips... Both have horrible horrible sound quality.... saying this from experience

I am a big Samsung fan as well, but there are enough reviews on newegg to help you find what you want. I've had my DLC 62" in Samsung for 5 years now, bulb never went bad, used all the time.

Walmart has some pretty good prices. Tiger wants $318 for this one, $298 at Walmart....basically the same after paying tax at WM.

samsung

Enough said. I own a samsung TV, laptop and phone (didn't plan it that way).

Back to the TV, bought it, it was simply the best out there, love it. It had a slight defect early on; called cust service, spoke to a human being from America right away who dispatched a local repair man who came over the next day and swapped out the board completely free of charge in about 15 minutes, haven't had a problem since.

IMO, if you buy anything else than a Samsung these days your simply taking your chances with inferior products.

Pioneer was the best and their TV's (top models) have yet to be beaten and some might not ever be for a long long long time:howdy:

For those like me who have the 500M, its the Ferrari of all displays:dancefool

Thats the exact model I have the 500M
I have calibrated with the ISF patch also.
Stick a Sammy next to it and it will make the Sammy look silly.

My 50 " panasonic plasma(a year and a half old) is great, cost me about $870 but could get the same thing now for under $700 I believe.
