Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt confirmed that Boldin "looks better," which is promising coming off a 75-yard game in which he was at less than full speed. He should resume every-down receiver duties against the Panthers.

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Monday that the Cardinals will take a "wait and see" approach regarding Anquan Boldin's aggravated ankle injury.
Whiz admits that he'll "seriously consider other options" in Week 9, rather than continue to let Boldin play hurt. Look for Steve Breaston to start at Chicago next Sunday. If the Cards win, they could potentially hold Boldin out for two more games with winnable matchups against Seattle and St. Louis in Weeks 10-11. The focus should be on getting Boldin 100% for the stretch run.

Boldin will be a game-time decision, and early indications from coach Ken Whisenhunt suggest that he's likely to be rested this week. Expect Steve Breaston to move into the starting lineup at Chicago. Jerheme Urban would then handle No. 3 receiver duties, making him a viable option for desperate owners.

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Anquan Boldin (ankle, questionable) returned to a limited practice Friday, increasing his chances of playing in Week 9.
"My hunch is now that Boldin will play against the Bears, but that's just an educated guess," writes Cards beat reporter Kent Somers. This is a promising sign, but Boldin clearly won't be at 100 percent if he's active and may wind up with fewer snaps than Steve Breaston. The Cardinals and Bears square off at 1PM ET on Sunday, so we'll know his game-day status early.

</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>According to ESPN's John Clayton, Anquan Boldin (questionable, ankle) looked "great" on the practice field Friday and is expected to suit up Sunday against the Bears.
Clayton concedes Boldin's injury is "very close" to a high ankle sprain and that he's officially a game-day decision, but most signs point to him facing Chicago. The Bears host the Cardinals in a 1ET PM game Sunday, so we'll know Boldin's status around 12ET. He'd be impossible to bench if he's active.

Marshall didn't come out of Denver's Week 9 loss to Pittsburgh and caught 11 balls for 112 yards, so we doubt the injury is serious. However, the Broncos have shown some propensity for being secretive on injury reports, so it's possible he'll be listed as "questionable" later this week. Keep an eye on the situation. Marshall has a tough matchup at Washington in Week 10.

The full practice virtually guarantees that he's back this week, barring in-practice setbacks. Boldin says he's "moved on" after expressing discontent with the coaching staff for his last-minute Week 9 deactivation. Sitting out at Chicago likely served Boldin well. He's a strong bet to start Sunday against Seattle, and should be considered a top-25 fantasy play.

Boldin should he as healthy as he's been since early in the season after getting Week 9 off to rest. He'll square off with the Seahawks' No. 17 pass defense Sunday, and makes for a high quality WR2 or flex in fantasy leagues.

At this point, it wouldn't be surprising if the Cards listed Boldin as "doubtful" on Friday's injury report. Either sprain could sideline a player several weeks, and ESPN's Adam Schefter already reported that the team is "not optimistic" about Boldin's chances of playing Sunday against the Packers. We're still guessing he'll be active, but he won't be anywhere near 100 percent.
