Another weekend in Chicago, another 40 or so shootings

39 this weekend, I guess the numbers are going down. Nothing to see here. Business as usual.

I remember not so long ago i had a thread about traveling to the ballparks i have not been to before,and i asked about when i get to Chicago how safe i would be there.And i know all about the south side and north side differences,so i felt wrigley field would be okay, but was worried about the White Sox stadium,and here we see that there were 40 shootings this weekend,just in a weekend,well if i am able to conquer this long,long trip i just might avoid the south side

As long as a select group of popular drugs remain illegal and controlled by street dealers there will be little reduction in gun violence within Chicago or any other urban centre nationwide
