Pirates, another 100 loss team for years to come. Baseball is more have and have not's than ever before. I know free agency has a lot to do with it but both the Pirates and A's were dominant teams once. Pirates won the World Series 71 and 79 and were a dominant team in the early nineties. So were the A's.

Also down the stretch you had Pablo Sandoval & Conor Gillaspie platooning at 3rd base.

Now you have Evan Longoria.

GM did a very nice job

Longoria and Cutch additions are top notch.

Basically took away the franchise player from both teams.......

Finally they had the balls to get rid of their 2 top players who did not help the team when they needed them.Cole, wow he was the best move to get rid of as he gave up the most home runs in baseball and he really never helped the Pirates at all last year....don't let the door hit ya in the ass

Cutch,he was kinda hard to see go as he has been the face of the Pirates since he got there, but his declining play on both offense and defense said it was time to go if they wanted to get a decent deal for him and i think they did well in return.I wish him well, as he did a lot for the Pittsburgh community.
