:lolBIG:... Im not affiliated with any party although I do like this Guy this time around..... http://baldwin08.com The diffence between you & me is a Liberal wants to try & give Child molesters politically correct "counseling" What I want is the common sense way hang the MFers in public in the town square now which way would you think would be more effective?

I agree that Child Molesters need to be punished for their crimes, I dont have much sympathy for these sick fuckers but the sad truth is that most of them were probably molested themselves and capitol punishment is pretty harsh even for a crime as dispicable as child molestation.

We walk around the neighborhood every day, about a mile, & everyday we pass a house that flies the Stars & Bars along with the Marine Corps flag.
I never met the family & frankly see nothing wrong with it but I'm sure some do! This is in NY.

Who do the Republicans hate?

You confuse disagreement with hate.

The Republicans disagree with pretty much everything the left stands for, but they have enough sense to recognize that you can't have a "right" without a "left" to define what the"right" means.

On the other hand, the left always seems to revile the right. They would destroy the right without any qualms, since many of them think the right constrains them.

The "fairness" doctrine is a good example of the first steps the left would take in its attempts marginalize the right. They can't stand the idea of anyone getting a piece of their media monopoly, so they talk this "fairness" crap - you've never seen such anti-American suggestions from the right.

It's the same way with the war - the left screams bloody murder how awful and unjust the war is and then they approve every piece of legislation in support of the war.

Meanwhile, the rank and file left wing lockstep automotons continue to support a political leadership that has proven time after time that they don't give a damn about that rank and file as long as that rank and file stays on the plantation and does what it's told.

And you call Republicans stupid! LMFAO

1) Where do you live? and 2) How do you know the political bent of all your neighbors? I know I sure don't and would never ask.

Nova

I talk to my neighbors, some have bumper stickers on their cars, and sometimes they bitch about things. It isn't rocket science.

I just noticed that in my hood, it is the FBI, Navy, Air Force, SS, and other military types with the flags.

Not particularly shocking that many folks might fly a flag recognizing the employer who pays their paycheck.

BBL imagines: As for bumper stickers, around here they're a government hack and teachers union thing. Working people don't like to mess up their cars with such crap.

SH: heh....Barman Jr is working for a production company here in Pinellas that employs hundreds of working people and probably four in five cars in the employee lot sport bumper stickers.

Course you're up there in commie/Union driven Massachusetts.

Down here, we're a right to work state just as the founding fathers envisioned and so less likely to be caught up in silly social habits.

Oddly enough, that's the very flag being sported on the helicopters used by the cowardly pigs of the DEA during their air-driven marijuana eradication campaigns in California the past few years.

Regarding the general theme of how many Americans exploit the image of the American flag, I kinda dig what this guy has to say:

http://ryantheangrymidget.blogspot.com/2007/07/your-little-american-flags-you-put-in.html

On the block where I live, there is a family that puts up little American flags in their lawn during this time of year. This is the same neighbor that drives a Mercedes with a Bush/Cheney sticker from 2000 on the back. People who put flags in their yard to show their patriotism for 7 days a year are missing the point. If you do this, you probably like Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" song, and think that because you know all the words, you're a patriot.

You want to do something that's actually patriotic? How about volunteering for the military and going over to Iraq to fight with the troops? How about campaigning for health care reforms, better education, and cheap prescription drugs so that your country men and women don't have to drive into Canada to get heart medication.

Why not do something actually patriotic, like standing up for poor people in your community? They are Americans too, they just don't have as much money as you do, so they can't buy 50 little American flags to put in their yard. Quit thinking that because you did something symbolic the last time you were at the Home Depot, that somehow you're supporting the troops. Buying shit like magnetic ribbons to hang on your car that were made by terrorists isn't helping us get anything done in Iraq any faster.

This 4th of July, if you're one of the real patriots who is actually doing something to make this country better, whether that's fighting in Iraq or working with underprivlaged kids here at home, I salute you. If you're like my neighbor down the street with his little American flags and pseudo-patriotism, kiss my ass.

What does "standing up for poor people" mean? Does it mean handing them money to fill their bellies and make them feel good?

Wouldn't you do society a lot more good by inventing the internet, or the automobile, or the articifial heart than handing out free clothes, and lunches to poor people?

Wouldn't help out society more by paying your own bills and not asking for wealth redistribution?

I fly a Confederate flag in front of my trailer with a lawn jockey like most of my neighbors in the trailer park. Stick you American, made in China, flag where the son don't shine. Never served a day in your life and have the nerve to question someone's patriotism.
