Am I the only one that has never heard of a "switch" in beatings?

Ha. Yeah, the thing with him is that she did it over stupid things. Nothing worth a pop in the mouth. My mom use to tell me that Aunt Debbie fell off a swing as a kid, hitting her head, and that's why she is the way she is. Lol. She's sweet as pie now. Seems normal to me.

She popped him in the mouth because he wouldn't finish his meals, his dad was an alcoholic wife beater (now recovered) and he turned an alcoholic himself (now on recovery too).

LOL fell off a swing. On a side note... people are known to become aggressive or even serial killers after head injuries.

I watched in fear and terror when my cousin got caught playing with matches when we were up in a tree fuckin around when we were about 11or12 years old.My uncle made a switch from a poplar branch grabbed his left arm and whipped his ass mercilessly. Until my cousin couldn't stand any longer from the pain. I think I stayed in that tree until after dark. My cousin till this day will say he deserved every lash.

Common knowledge here & I had my fair share of em growing up...mom always used the
switch and dad always used his belt. Not perfect but I did learn respect..........

so in the south...or wherever you guys use these "switches" that I've never heard of.....when kids misbehave, the parents go outside , start chopping branches off a tree to hit the kid with? this seems so inefficient? belts or other things seem a lot easier...even a yardstick ....but i'm lazy as shit...why would i do yardwork to punish my kid?

I seriously had to look it up....and it isn't easy to look up....google and google images show fucking network switches and light switches. I heard the boy was playing a video game so at first I thought he was whipping him with a controller and some button was cutting up his legs.

Is it because I live in Hawaii and this is common terminology?

I swear for a little while I thought everyone in the world didn't know what it meant but they didn't want to be the dumbass asking what it is so the passed on the word "switch" when they explained it to the next guy and it grew from there.

The media chose that term to hype of the story. They knew exactly that people would thing that the boy got hit by those electrical things since they lined it up with saying how they were playing video games. Media these days are horrible. Fuknit asswipes would sell their mom for publicity.
