Betting the Knicks here - got 3 cents on them at matchbook at +$700.00 - yup, I win and I get 21 cents. Wow, I'm such a big spender.

If LeBron decides on Miami, I honestly believe that he's thinking he will eventually take this team over as his own in a couple of years and that the Heat organization will obviously choose him if it comes down to Wade or himself.

I basically see him running Wade out of town very soon.....

could the nets pay him more than the cavs? I thought the biggest offer $ comes from the team a player is already with?

No way, no how.

How do you figure?

Let's say things fall apart after the 1st year or 2, and Wade & LeBron can't coincide.

No way....

Do you really think the Heat organization is going to choose Wade over LeBron if one has to go?

LeBron knows this Miami team will eventually be his, or he wouldn't consider it.

Besides, Wade's health is going to give out far before LeBron even reaches his prime at 31-32 years old.....

Not too shocking, and actually makes more sense if he waits until the end of the show. In other LeBron news, Ric Bucher said on Twitter that of the seven insiders he spoke with today (GMs, agents, team officials), four said he's going to Cleveland and the other three said New York. Despite the fact ESPN has been reporting he's likely to go to Miami, not one of Bucher's sources mentioned the Heat.

Lawyer Sues Lebron James, Alleging he is Lebron's Father

More absolute horse-shit.

Lawyer sues basketball star LeBron James, alleging he is his father

By Bill Mears, CNN

STORY HIGHLIGHTS
  • A Washington lawyer claims to be LeBron James' father

  • The lawyer says James and his family are involved in a cover-up
  • James will announce Thursday night with which team he'll sign

Washington (CNN) -- A Washington lawyer has filed a lawsuit in federal court, claiming he is the father of basketball star LeBron James.
Leicester Stovell alleges that the athlete and his family have been involved in a cover-up to deny paternity by committing fraud and misrepresentation.
In the complaint, filed June 23, Stovell says, "I recently have concluded that a comprehensive, sophisticated and well-funded effort might well have been underway for quite some time, perhaps beginning in its present form as early as when defendant LeBron James was in high school, to frustrate identification of his real father, and that there is a likelihood that the father in question is me."
James is scheduled to announce Thursday evening the team he has chosen to play for next season, a deal worth perhaps tens of millions of dollars or more. He currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The lawsuit claims Stovell met James' mother, Gloria, in a Washington bar and restaurant in 1984, where she was visiting from Ohio. She was 16 at the time, Stovell says, and they had sex only once.
He says he was informed by Gloria James months later that she was pregnant. He claims she told him the child would be named LeBron, similar to Leicester Bryce, Stovell's first and middle names.
Stovell says he has been trying for three years to establish paternity, and asks for unspecified millions of dollars in damages.
He is a solo legal practitioner in the District of Columbia, and filed the lawsuit on his own behalf.
A call to LeBron James' attorney, Frederick Nance of Cleveland, Ohio, was not immediately returned.
The lawsuit had been filed without much initial publicity, but was reported by the TMZ celebrity website Wednesday.
Public records show Stovell is a former government attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He filed a lawsuit in 2002 against the agency, alleging racial discrimination. Federal court records show the case was settled when the commission paid him $230,000, while not admitting fault.
