They could probably bring back David Lee now or sign another FA. There are still some names out there to ensure the Knicks win lots of regular season games before leaving early in the playoffs. It's the D'Antoni way.

the money is such a non-issue... if these guys were ,making $800k and took $200k then maybe we'd have a conversation, but only getting $18m instead of $23m per season is not a realistic issue for anyone.

My team essentially did the same thing, and I don't see anything wrong with it on paper - but, it does dilute the league even more than it already has been.
