The interesting thing is that while the QB switch will get all the press ... the pulling of RB Bo Scarbrough and replacing him with that beast of a freshman rb was probably the move that got Bama the win. After he got shut down on a run up the middle that he could have bounced to the outside and then couldn't make a guy miss in the open field to get an extra couple of yards, Saban pulled him. The Freshman then came in and did some major work on the UGA defense. Granted, he was fresh legged and the UGA defense was beginning to tire .. but that was a key move in the game that no one is talking about.
College Football is the last sport worth watching for me. I had to drop the NFL this year because they decided they didn't want me as a customer. I would hate for the politics to spill over into the sport of college football.
For the record, I wasn't a fan of Obama and his policies. Were I to meet him, even now that he is out of office, I would treat him with respect as a courtesy. Until recently, that was how people conducted themselves around the President of the United States. I have family, friends and co-workers that I like and respect who have very differing views than I do. I don't think it necessarily makes them evil people, and in some cases, I know they are not. Somewhere along the way, we quit debating the actual ideas and just started whining about the figureheads of the ideas. It is an incredible "dumbing" down of America.
Congratulations to Alabama fans. Great comeback. Your coach made moves that worked, that I never would have made. His legend is etched in stone now.
