Now you youngens out there listen up, last night Mr. Al Gore was talking global warming and how to help out and all. Well let me tell you, this man takes private jets all over the country and all over the world. What is more harmful, my car on the road or his jet??
Most of these hollywood people talk a good game, but few back it up.

POWER: GORE MANSION USES 20X AVERAGE HOUSEHOLD; CONSUMPTION INCREASE AFTER 'TRUTH'
Mon Feb 26 2007 17:16:14 ET

The Tennessee Center for Policy Research, an independent, nonprofit and nonpartisan research organization committed to achieving a freer, more prosperous Tennessee through free market policy solutions, issued a press release late Monday:

Last night, Al Gore’s global-warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, collected an Oscar for best documentary feature, but the Tennessee Center for Policy Research has found that Gore deserves a gold statue for hypocrisy.

Gore’s mansion, [20-room, eight-bathroom] located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).

In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.

Gore’s extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year.

“As the spokesman of choice for the global warming movement, Al Gore has to be willing to walk to walk, not just talk the talk, when it comes to home energy use,” said Tennessee Center for Policy Research President Drew Johnson.

In total, Gore paid nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for his Nashville estate in 2006.

Do you think Gore should live in a Double wide in tennessee?? lool,,,, The real quesiton is this,,, compare his home with comparable homes in his neighborhood,,, and remember he probably cooks and entertains 4 nights a week for 10-30 people,,,,

for what its worth, I am NOT political,,, and really dont give a shit,, IM just trying to balance the perspective here,,,

it takes money to run anyones political agenda,,, good bad or indifferent.

I seriously doubt they run thier AC at 69 degrees with both their front door and back doors open,,,, lolol

I am not the member of any political party.

But, what do you expect the guy to do? Ride his ET Flying Bicycle around the world?

Maybe he should row boat to England for a cup of tea, water ski to Cuba for lunch with Castro, and rollerblade to the Grand Canyon.

If you were giving global warming speeches around the world, please tell me what your mode of transportation would be?

The real question is if CO2 causes warming, and if so, how much. The dire projections are based on climate models, and complex models are not good forecasters. Does any one have a good football model?? I don't think so, and football is a lot more simple than climate. There was climate change long before there were people. And a major cooling is a lot worse than a warming.

So the basic premise that people use energy, which releases CO2, which causes runaway warming, and warming is bad is in doubt.

Well said.
If Algore was in office right now, we would be speaking some sort of Arabic language.

You mean the one in your avatar?
I'll let that one go because it's the RR.
If you said that in a bar, you'd be eating with a straw for a month.
