It might take a bit longer to take over the solar system...we seem to be losing a lot of assets on Mars lately.

I don't buy your argument that there are only 2 possible outcomes to global warming. You are assuming that if true, humanity ceases unless we take action. It may be beneficial to mankind, it may be neutral, it may be negative. The assumption that 'change' is automatically bad isn't realistic. It certainly will be harmful to many, but who is to say about the long run? Millions of Siberians would love the oppotunity to grow some wheat.

Perhaps, but the main arguments against enviroment are $$$ driven ...

if Global Warming is true then the oceans will rise and major polar caps melt thus sinking coastal cities (where most major cities are located).

This is a clear case of "not my problem" and I find that to be selfish and irresponsible.
