why? because there are tons of video tape. All one needs to do is study how the Patriots defended different lineups. what could be easier? If they knew the play calls and were relaying it to the defensive team, then they would be lining up differently vs given formations, and that defensive alignment would have to be the perfect alignment for the play that was called. Remember how Harbaugh was pissed after losing to the Pats a couple of weeks ago - accused the Patriots of using illegal tactics/formations? He probably passed the deflated ball information on just to get back at Belichick. I think most would agree that the ball pressure had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. Certainly makes you wonder why the Patriots would bother when they were clearly the better team, but this is clearly the way Belichick seems to operate. If he thinks he can find any kind of edge, he will go for it. If the NFL determines that the Pats were damaging the integrity of the game, they'll be punished in some way, but Goodell is not going to ban them from playing the SB. The main reason this has been blown up to epic proportions is that the Patriots have a track record going outside the rules. The organization is disliked by so many that it's like a feeding frenzy.

My analogy is this. There is so much evidence, so much film, so many experts, so many people involved and so much time has elapsed, why hasn't anybody proved a conspiracy (or cheating) thirteen or fourteen years later? If such existed, we would all know it beyond a shadow of a doubt by now.

The score of the game doesn't even matter. It really has nothing to do with it. I assume it will be impossible for you to be objective about this.

Here is the problem, the pats have a history of bending and breaking rules. I understand pats saying "it's no big deal" but why do it then? Clearly they deflated the balls and clearly that stuff comes from the qb. I think brady is the best qb of all time but the press conf performance was an embarrassment.

Why cheat against a team they are far better than? It shows this kind of stuff is in their team dna unfortunately.
