Sadly, the supposed counter-terrorism efforts aren't doing anything to make my life any safer. Any time "I" - via my elected government - sponsor killing, I unfortunately beget more killing.

It's both a physical and spiritual law. A law that's being disrespected by not only the US military in the Mideast, but also those engaged in terrorism and supposed "freedom fighting" within those same countries.

So count me in on one who is fairly numb to any complaints by either side that "the other guys are killing".

The people living in those half dozen countries have for the moment (as always) collectively selected their way of life. And though we may view it as third world and incredibly backward, that's the way they collectively select to live.

I'm reasonably confident that like other repressed societies in our world's history, there will come a point when more than less of the people there will demand changes and they will get them. But not until those people themselves demand it. We do little to persuade them towards our way of thinking when our number one communication devices are bullets and bombs.

China one of the oldest and most populous country in the world is a neighbour of the Mid East. They have rights for women. All are educated...Drs. etc. They didn't at first but evolved, some cultures haven't.

Completely false. Rights for women in China? They are one of the worst violators of human rights. Did you forget they are a Totalitarian State which attempts to control every aspect of their citizen's lives?

And to say "all are educated...Drs. etc" is a complete fallacy. Stereotype much? Most of China is rural, poor, and uneducated.

Though they have come a long way, and are headed in the right direction they still have a long way to go to close the massive income disparity between the classes.
