I think AF has a difficult time keeping this one close. Not a cloud in the sky today here in Fort Worth and almost no wind at the moment.

Houston won against East Carolina and in November routed Tulsa 70-30. Tulsa was #24 at the time. Houston QB leads Division 1-A with 397 passing yds per game. The previous meeting was a fluke due to the hurricane and Houston still almost won.

AF is very one dimensional (#117 out of 119) in passing:shocked:. They did run all over Colorado State but CS has never had a great rushing defense. Houston jumps out to an early lead and puts 8 in the box on D and it could be a long day for AF.

And my possibly useless fact of the day: This is the 17th time teams that played in a regular season game have a bowl game rematch. Only 5 teams in the previous 16 swept both games.

Good luck!!
Got this from another website...You say its nice in Fortworth and he says its windy and cold

The weather here in fort worth is windy and chilly....no big deal for the flyboys. I went to the TCU/AF game a few weeks ago...i wasnt really impressed by AF then, but it was a mismatch from the get-go. We already saw Air Force beat Houston on nuetral turf 31-28 earlier this year...the weather favors Air Force...there's also a SOS system play on Air Force that so far is 7-2 in bowls this year....im going with 1 unit on AF...am leaning to 2, but it's a long, the booze is flowing and this is just the first game of the day....good luck and happy new years!!!

I hope you are not wagering based on your stat that AF is #117 passing the football.......didn't they not throw a pass in 2 games this season? AF is an option team....so therefore they have ALWAYS BEEN ONE-DIMENSIONAL....that is the nature of the option offense....

I do agree with you however, that if Houston does get out to a 2-TD lead (I don't think they will though) that AF could be in some trouble....:103631605

air force runs, houston passes.

first game was played in a hurricane and air force only won by 3. it is obviously easier to run in that kind of weather. the hou qb still had 360 yds and 4 TD's.

I just think houston can get out in front and it will be difficult for air force to catch up. should be close though....

Athens has some sound analysis.

But I'm currently in one of the worst slumps of my life...having won maybe two of my last 15 plays, so Houston backers should be terrified I'm on them today. Here's why I like them:

Houston has scored 40 or more points in seven of their last eight games while Air Force has reached 30 in only one of their last six...so maybe we're looking at a 42-28 type of score today. If the Cougs jump out to an early lead of a TD or two, it'll be very difficult for Air Force's run-oriented offense to make up ground.

I don't think the four points will matter either way, but I played the Cougs small on the money line just in case.

and last year everybody thought cal at -5 against air force was a gift, then air force jumped out 21-0 or something like that. but cal got saved when af's qb got knocked out of the game.
