If the kid can stop eating doritos why can't the black kid start going to school? If the white kid has genetic hurdles for basketball, you don't think black kids have genetic hurdles to education and impulse control? The child can simply stop eating Doritos to make the simple change. But as an overweight individual, I know its not necessarily as easy as it sounds, but the main point is, he wasn't born with a Dorito in his mouth. Perhaps, he did watch his mother (and since he's white I'll assume you gave him as father as well) eating Doritos for his entire childhood so that's all he knows, but...that's an extremely overlysimplified and lazy analogy. Why do blacks have a genetic ability to play basketball? Because black slaves were bred to be a superior athletic specimen in the fields? YEA SLAVERY! Granted that's lazy on my part as well, and know/hope that wasn't your point.
So black communities are in bad shape because of "low intelligence, rampant black corruption and lack of impulse control." Let's say, poor educational system...And I'm done...I was going to indulge but rereading your points to counterpoint and I got to blacks were better of during segregation and I realized I'm literally wasting my time.
Ok...one more point I will make. I do agree that an individual should not be forced to lose/sell their business due to comments made in private (or public for that matter,) whether I agree with his comments or not (and I assume we're talking about Sterling here.) And frankly, that's a scary big brother concept. But, that determination was made by 28 white guys and 1 black guy (Johnson still owns a team right?) because his comments put their money in jeopardy, and that's the greatest sin of all. You have a freedom of speech, but you are not free from the consequences your speech may bring. The market forced their hand.
Poor educational system and your done? How about ask why their educational system is so bad? It isn't funding. It isn't teachers, they are paid more for an incentive to work in those schools. Maybe, just maybe, these black schools are awful and perform poorly because they are full of black kids. I would rather be insulted for telling the truth than patted on the back for telling feel good lies you see.
And yes, blacks were better off during segregation. Just because it hurts your feelings doesn't make it false. Plenty of blacks and data such as % of single parent households and violent crime statistics agree with that statement.
As far as the Sterling case you refer to, I'm not going to get in to who voted on it and why it happened, etc.. The point was Adam Jones' statement was foolish because of examples like Sterling's.
