It's a marquee pitching matchup in Los Angeles today as the Dodgers and Rockies wrap up their three-game series. Brad Penny faces Jeff Francis in a battle of all-stars. Rockie lefthander Jeff Francis is 13-6, 2-1 in his last three starts and 2-0 against LA this season. Dodger ace Brad Penny is also in search of his 14th victory but will be facing a Colorado line-up that's hitting .324 against right-handers this season. The Rockies are also averaging nearly six runs per game and hitting .275 the past seven days. Both teams are likely out of the Western Division race but are very much in the Wild Card chase. The Rockies, second in the league in hitting and first in the NL in defense, get the nod from me, especially with the lefty Francis on the mound.
