I know at this point it's 20/20 hindsight, but I wouldn't have played Liverpool at -1 -160. I don't like making many plays at all above -130, and I wouldn't have felt comfortable enough with Liverpool -1.5 (probably around -110). But either way it wouldn't have mattered. After all the money I made betting against Liverpool at the end of last season, I should know better.

Big slate of Brazilian games Wednesday.

A rarity, but I have some South American World Cup qualifiers today. First game at 1 p.m. Las Vegas time.

Colombia -1 -125/Paraguay, 3 units
Peru +.5 +105/Bolivia, 2 units
Chile +.5 -109/Ecuador, 2 units

Colombia is always a tough home field to play on, along the coast and in the heat. Bolivia and Ecuador usually have great home field advantages due to altitude, but in each case that advantage is negated. Peru assembled a team of players use to playing at high altitude, and essentially created two teams to play at Bolivia and then at Paraguay next week. Chile also has teams that play at high altitude, and Ecuador is missing Manchester United winger Luis Antonio Valencia through suspension.

Record: 257-229.5, +18.71

the problem with their high altitude team is the teams that play in big altitude are quite poor (Garcilaso, Cienciano, Huancayo, etc). i took Bolivia earlier in week although i really can't stomach the thought of needing Bolivia to win i had to oppose Peru with those odds. There's no getting around that Peru haven't taken a single road qualifying point since 2004, 0-0-16 8/48

not even sure i'm keeping bolivia 2u bet but i sure can't back peru

Rolltide: Agree, I wasn't thrilled about taking Peru as a team, but it seemed they were preparing specifically for this match. They dominated play early and hung on.

FRIDAY
IRELAND
Cork City -1.25 -141/Dundalk, 3 units
I hate taking this much juice, but I think Dundalk is focused primarily on the promotion/relegation playoff and will put out a second team for this match. If you find -1.5 -110, go for it.

Love Cork City too, line went up from -250 to -315 on the ML. I took it before it went up. What do you think about Shamrock Rovers?
