Welcome Wigan to the Championship League. :)

My numbers have a ton of Italian games today. Tread lightly knowing my lack of success in Italy. But I did alter my picks last week and saw some success.

WEDNESDAY
ITALY
Atalanta +.5 -138/Juventus, 2 units
Napoli -1 +116/Bologna, 2 units
Parma PK -107/Cagliari, 1 unit
Lazio PK -123/Inter, 1 unit
Palermo -.5 +106/Udinese, 1 unit
Sampdoria -.5 -118/Catania, 1 unit
Fiorentina -.5 -128/Siena, 2 units (I really like this one. Think Siena has cashed in this season.)
Torino PK -169/Genoa, 1 unit

Record: 92.5-119.5, -27.88

Noticed that this match has the draw at -135

Looks like the expectation is a possible fix to avoid relegation. Does that sound right?

Genoa's last few matches have had crazy PK lines and low draw prices. So have a few others. I wouldn't call it a "fix," but if the game is tied with 15 minutes left, I can see both teams being very careful, not going forward and being happy with a draw. I think Parma and Atalanta had a minus price for a draw and ended up 2-0 Parma.

With all due respect, Manchester City could not get excited about the FA Cup on Saturday in a game played before a huge crowd at Wembley with all of England watching against a team that they were clearly superior to.

Now you are telling me that 3 days later, they are going to come out against a team that will be relagated after the season, and give a huge effort......the one they failed to give on Saturday when a championship was on the line.

There may be other fundamental reasons to back Man City, but that's not one of them.

GL anyway.

Appreciate the input, tomaselli. The key to me is the change of lineups. While that wasn't a B-team for Man City in the FA Final, it definitely wasn't their best side. It will be interesting now to see what Wigan deos in the off-season, relegated yet in the Group Stage of the Europa Cup.

WEDNESDAY
Benfica/Chelsea DRAW +220 (regulation), 1 unit
Benfica to win +110 (including extra time/shootouts), 2 units

Yesterday's Europa final pretty much encapsulates this year for me. Looking at a winner with the draw and a good shot at Benfica winning, and Chelsea gets a header off a corner in extra time. Damn...

THURSDAY
Olimpia -.5 -109/Tigre, 1 unit
Santa Fe -.5 +107/Gremio, 1 unit

I like both home teams against long-distance travelers who've not played well on international road matches.
