Lebron is a better player than MJ tho

He just is. Look at what hes done with crap rosters. Look at the stats

Not even a big lebron fan and love Jordan but lebron is the better player

What has Lebron done with those crap rosters? He didn't win anything without the established mega star and already champion Dwayne Wade..then of course with all star and beast Kyle Irving and Love. Not to mention playing in the weak East in a league will you can't even play defense. Jordan's era they take your head off.

I mean I've made a whole list of reason why Jordan is better but I can't type all that over again. I just can't haha. Air Jordan is better than Lebron. I think you can argue Lebron is better than Kobe but even that my opinion is that Kobe is better but I will admit I'm bias there as I'm a huge fan.

But Lebron better than Jordan? That's silly.

Um, yeah look at the stats, MJ > LeBron in almost every single category, AND
MJ actually plays defense (and doesn't flop).

You see, the GOAT was so good he could win both MVP and defensive player of the
year in the same season. He also was first team defensive 9 times. LeBron
can't even sniff MJ's jock when it comes to defense. Though, I will admit that
he is a good flopper.

Both Jordan and Kobe never won without another superstar. And I'm huge fans of both. Kobe is my favorite player of all time. Seeing him play live was a checkmark off my bucket list.

I'm not gonna argue with anybody about this because 1) people glorify the past and 2) people let emotions into an argument that should be solely based on facts

So MJ takes that Cavs roster last year to finals and beats the warriors?

So if you put MJ I'm his prime on that Cavs team last year he takes them to the finals and beats the warriors?

Can't even compare then to now.

The League was loaded with Superstars then.

Tougher competition.

Since Kobe retired, there's basically 2, leBron and Durant

A pathetic watered-down league now.

That makes no sense.

The way to compare them would be all things considered equal.

Ask yourself. If you flipped them. Out MJ on the Cavs last year does he best the warriors? The answer is no. Put lebron on the bulls in place of MJ does he win it all? Yes.

The rest is emotional non sense.

Who said that?

You told me to look at the stats, I did, and Michael leads in just about every category. WTF were you talking about
when you said look at the stats? I mean come on?

Nothing I say would ever change your opinion

You basically answered the question for me by admitting MJ couldnt take that Cavs team and beat the warriors. The exact thing you hold against Lebron by flashing his finals record.

Superstars then

Jordan
Bird
Magic Johnson
Ewing
Olajuwon
D. Robinson
Shaq
Barkley
Malone
Drexler
Isaiah Thomas
Dr J
Kareem
Iverson
Reggie Miller

Superstars who are now gone or past their prime inbetween these 2 eras:

Nowitzki
Duncan
Kobe
Garnett

That leaves Lebron and Durant to beat up on the rest of this league.

Agree. Completely agree. Not to mention how tough the league was back then. Defense was very tough and Jordan still did what he did. So did the players you mentioned. In fact the NBA changed the rules after Jordan left so that it would be easier for players to emulate Jordan but they can never be Jordan. The rules today, any NBA player can look like a star when you can't play defense on him.

It's not just what Jordan, and Bird etc did, but against the defenses they did it in. Lebron flopping in this soft league how would he handle himself back then? With his weak jump shot most of his career and poor free throw shooting and not being able to prance him to the hole like he does using his big frame, the NBA back then, he wouldn't be the mega star he is. Jordan on the other hand has already proven he can ball in that era and in today's era? In his prime? He'd be scoring 50 a game in this soft league.

So whoever said Lebron could play in both eras is wrong. Lebron's weak free throw shooting, they wouldn't let him bully his way in and if he got to the line he's bricking.

I'm tired of delusional Lebron fans. Many of them kids that don't know anything. I'd even take Kobe over Lebron but at least that's a debate unlike Lebron vs Jordan. It's absurd. Jordan in his prime would eat Lebron for breakfast. For all the things I mentioned above, you can't measure or show Jordan's mental madness and intensity and 'I'm going to kill you on the court'' and ''won't let my team lose'' mentality.

I never admitted such a thing. You put words in my mouth (twice).

I actually agree that LBJ is better than MJ, and I think when all is done most will come around even though I know this is an unpopular opinion now. But Brady Vs Rodgers isn't really the same conversation. 50 years from now people will all know who Brady was, Rogers will just be a foot note. 50 years from now people will still be talking about LBJ vs MJ.

People love these debates and they get so much mileage because there is no wrong answer. When you can’t be wrong, people tend to get very, very opinionated. And the debates can be regurgitated ad nauseam.

But there is really only 1 way to decide who is better.

If Brady/Rodgers/whoever played a 1000 season simulation on teams of identical caliber, which team would do better?

And even then in this particular case, you would have to account for Rodgers lack of durability.
