A terrible act of racism at my beloved Ole Miss

never been to ole miss but worked for a guy last year he was from jackson and he was telling me that honestly some places down there are still backwards like when he goes home to visit his folks they still worry about going out late because of the cops and stuff which to me honestly is a shame but i guess it does still exist in some parts of the south

I guarantee he's never been there. The fact that he's either alluded or flat out said that this is accepted there tells me all I need to know. Just ignorant on his part. Never understood why someone feels compelled to comment on something they have no knowledge of.

You take offense because you are from the south i get it. I never said everyone in the south was racist. Just that racism has a long history there and is still acceptable in parts. It may not be as prevalent in and around Ole Miss because college kids tend to be progressive thinkers.

Lol people always see what they want to see. It is still acceptable behavior in some places down there....fact. I did not not say everywhere. I never mentioned knowing a guy from Jackson that was another poster.
