Athens Olympics: Statement issued by ATHENS 2004 President during her visit to OAKA
ATHENS 2004 President, Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki visited this afternoon the construction works at the Olympic Stadium where the sliding of the Eastern arc of the Stadium roof will take place.
After the visit the ATHENS 2004 President issued the following statement:
“The sliding of the second part of the Stadium Roof is the crowning achievement of all the hard work and progress made in the organisation for the Olympic Games in 2004. I am here today to watch the last 24 hours of the sliding and I would like to thank all those who worked, are working and will be working so as we can have a fantastic venue for the Olympic Games in 2004.”
