A Message To Those Who Critique The United States On Everything That Has To Do With Soccer

The bottom line is this.......

If the United States chose to take interest in soccer and more Americans athletes started playing it, they would dominate it EVENTUALLY just like other sports.

Luckily for those other countries that live & breathe soccer, the United States hasn't taken that interest........YET

Your ego (collectively) is too big and well.....it may need some adjustment as the US is no longer the best in everything (if it ever was)

I suggest something, the US should choose to take an interest in rebuilding their manufacturing base so that not everything is imported from China. There , I rather have you guys doing that than taking an interest in soccer (priorities)

First of all, I am venting a little bit because of what I've been hearing around the Hispanics I'm around daily.

Secondly, whether you admit it or not, the United States has the best OVERALL athletes.

You mention the sport of basketball.

Well, the best pure, overall athletes in the world are basketball players.
So you just contradicted yourself.

But seriously, the point I'm making is if more Amerian athletes took the game of soccer serious, it would be a different story.

I'm sorry but the rest of the world wouldn't be able to handle a roster full of Americans who run 4.2 - 40yd dashes with all other abilites that go hand in hand, can handle the futbol, and who grew up in the game's surroundings...

I have not contradicted myself since it is only your opinion that basketball players are the best athletes.
You will never dominate the sport. When you have, come back to me. Until then keep on watching the sport through your stars and stripes tinted glasses.

I understand where you are coming from but you are wrong in so many ways. First of all, being the best athlete in any sport doesn't make you the best player. Peyton Manning isn't or ever will be the most athletic QB(oh, I heard the WRs in Oakland can run really fast, too), same with Kobe, Jordan in Basketball and Puljous(sp?) in Baseball. I think you just grossly under-estimated the skills required to play the game of Soccer. Like any sport, talent makes the most difference and no coaches could teach that.

Also, I consider hockey players better overall athletes than basketball players.
