All the miami loss did to the patriots was motivate them. All blowouts since!!! Pats are something like 30-5-2 the last 2 seasons ATS. Eagles won't know what hit them when they go into halftime

I laid a decent amount on bet #3573 AFC -4-. my plan is as follows. If the line moves in fav of Phil (under 7) keep the entire amount on NE. If the line moves above 7- lay off most on phil with the points and 20% on them with the money line

p.s. key factor chuck luck has NE

Pops, I hope you hit your middle, looks like you have a good shot. And don't worry about CL. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. :suomi:

Don't worry about CL????? Shirley, you must be joking. Let's review shall we? No need to delve into the regular season...let's just look at playoffs...January 9th...Denver +10.5....oopsie, lost by 25, no way, Chuck will go 1-1 with the GB pick....whammo, GB lost by 2 td.

And then the next week, some dipshit said the same thing, a clock is right twice a day after CL posted his Hotlanta and Pitt. No, I'm not bitter or anything, not like I changed my winning pick to Pitt or anything. So you can go ahead and keep your Pats pick, because Chuck Luck isn't just a lock, but a stone cold lock.:drink:

chuck luck

a good friend of mine "mike'e" stop by earlier today. he never posts on this form, but told me about it years ago, and follows it daily, and is kind of a fade bettor as well

interesting in that he said the chuck luck did not lose one game in the play off last year (looks like the 50/50 rule works, sometimes it take longer)

even though i have a bunch of $$$ on NE at -4-, and dont feel that Phil has much of a chance, they said on TV today that they are still going to play the game this coming sunday.

also remember that everyone was picking Okla to beat USC, and the Colts over NE

over the years i have lost a ton of money on those cant lose game, but over the last 10 years have become much older & wiser

like the only saying goes "even a blind squirle can find an acorn in the snow once in a while"

keep you money in you pocket and see which way the wind blows, vegas and the offshore books are not going to all go broke on just one game

gl, and keep your powder dry

Pops, you make a good point. The games between AFC and NFC teams was dominated by the AFC. Is the AFC really THAT much better than the NFC? It probably is, but the Eagles have shown to be the best of the NFC in a fasion nearly identical to what the Patriots would have done if they had been in the NFC.

Just because the Eagles played poor teams does not make the Eagles a poor team themselves, does it? It's not like they were losing games all season. And, of course, the Eagles played poorly against AFC opponents compared to the NFC opponents the Eagles played. However, that could be attributed to the fact that those games were less meaningful to the Eagles in the big picture.

By the way, my money will likely be on the Patriots ... but it will NOT be because they played in a tougher conference. It will be because they looked more impressive against better teams in the playoffs than the Eagles did.

It has been my belief that the Super Bowl is usually won by the team that looked / performed better in the playoffs.

Don't listen too EAGLE FANATIC HANDICAPPING

eagles are smoke and mirrors from a dong heep conference. to the cappers, you should be warned that Philadelphia Eagle Fans are famous for Backing their team no matter what the actual facts are.. they are loyal zealots. and the fans in Philly stadiums over the years are considered hooligans..the worst in the NFL . This is a known fact. They did a TV special on Eagle fans a few years ago.

Bill Carson,

What kind of post is that!?!?!? You just wasted everyone's time for posting that and you wasted theRX's disk space on your meaningless comment. I don't know about you, but I wanna figure out who's gonna cover in this game. I don't give a flying **** about the fans in each respective city.

If you handicap games based on a which team gets less backing from their fans, then you are a bigger loser than I thought. Please become smart before posting this kind of useless bullshit.

By the way, I'm not backing Philadelphia at this point. I am backing the Patriots, and it's NOT because they're fans aren't "loyal zealots."

In fact, why do you consider how many "loyal zealots" a team has in determining who will win the super bowl???

This is poor reasoning as the fans won't impact the super bowl that much, IMHO...
