Probably the best known name of the list of 42 is Andy Messersmith who with the Angels gave up a home to Ken "The Hawk" Harrelson of the Red Sox on June 13th 1968 in the 9th inning which was coincidentally a game winning Grand Slam walk off homer and then on The 4th of July 1968 Messersmith gave up a solo shot to Jim Northrup and a two run shot to Norm Cash of the Tigers in his 2nd appearance.
Andy ended up improving greatly and had a decent 11 year major league career for four different teams. In 1974 he finished 2nd in NL Cy Young voting to teamate Mike Marshall.
