Haha I was flying back from Fort Lauderdale. Showed up a day early because I pulled an all-nighter and didn't know when my flight was. Called the airport who said they had nothing for me in their records so I had no idea what day I was supposed to be there.
Anyway, I get there and they look me up and try to give me tickets to Kingston Jamaica. I honestly thought about taking them but alas I needed to get home to Idaho. After like 20 minutes of searching they tell me I showed up a day late and it's $100 to reschedule. I spent the last of my cash on the taxi over so didn't have enough to get back to my hotel in Miami so I just overdrafted my bank account.
They gave me 15 minutes to get on the rescheduled flight so I stand in line for about 10 and can see where I'm supposed to be boarding and I get stopped for a random search. Takes 15 minutes since they set me in a line of random search people like 6 deep. Miss my flight.
Go back out, get another reschedule (this time it's not another $100 at least) and go through this huge line again. Of course I am randomly searched again by the exact same guy. Miss my flight by a minute.
Then I had to sit in the Fort Lauderdale airport for another 2 hours, go to Alabama or Georgia or wherever and sit there for like 8 hours. Finally get home roughly 20 hours later.
I call the company bitching at them for not being able to tell me what day I was supposed to fly out and because of all the hassle they put me through I wanted the $100 waived.
I finally get a lady to agree with me and am told a check is being mailed.
I get the check like 4 months later, about a week after the company had filed for bankruptcy...
At least the trip was badass.
