Orza. he just seems to come off as overly animated and quite foolish with his comments as of late. Gene, have a zywback cracker and shut up.

wil, this was a kind of a random thing to post. it isnt ground breaking news, it isnt that fun to read. it is just basically angry little orza on a lengthy boring mostly irrelevant tirade. the fact you posted it, is this your way of saying you agree with it or disagree or what?

why?

If anybody has ever played the game you would no that the stronger you are the more bat control you have...if you have a 40 once log that feels like a buggy whip,it makes it quite difference when hitting a curve...you can hold back a little longer to pick it up and then flick at it..with all the added weight behind the little flick, makes the ball go a long way.
Carl Yastrzemski weighed 175 pounds and hit 442 HR's...back when men were men...Jim Rice said nobody even lifted weights back then....Bonds is a fraud in the era of arena baseball.

Rob, I posted the article to demonstrate where the Players Association stands regarding this issue. I believe that Orza" statement
quote:
"There is a basic agreement provision in place. It will be the provision we operate under. There will be no other provision. This is the provision through December 2006. Nothing is going to happen. We're not going to change it."

is very relevent, and should indicate to anyone looking for a quick fix to this problem that it is not coming from the players themselves. However boring the article, and comments with-in are, they still remain key to any solution. Obviously getting some credible strength enhancing drug use testing of MLB players is not likely in the immediate future.

look at sheffield. twirling the bat all around before his swing and then just casually smacking it for an opposite field HR. give me a break.

the cheating needs to stop. the fans have a right to know who the real players are.

and patriot is right, of course a guy driving the ball further will have his BA go up. even if it isnt a make contact issue. becuase a guy hitting further has less balls that may be fielded by the defense.

Speaking of Damon, his long hair and beard looks like it came out of "The Passion of the Christ." "We call him Jesus," says Kevin Millar, "and he's running around sprinkling water on people to end the curse." Last year, the Red Sox players shaved their heads. This year they're talking about adopting the Damon look. If they do, instead of the House of David, they'll be the House of Damon.

damon looks like a yoga instructor or a guy playing a guitar under a tree on some university campus.
