Congratulations on a great run here. One question, what is the difference between this year's team and the one that lost to Missouri last year in Oxford? That is the only factor that would cause me to lean toward Tech today. Basically the same offense with a better O line. I like the fact that Mississippi has a better running game.
What fraternity are you in?

good luck today

Exactly. No one knows Ole Miss football more than me. Inside and out. But anyways I was at the Florida game. Was at the Wake game. Was at LSU. Was at Arkansas. Was at Alabama. We are 8-4 on the season. Not to great of a record. But no one knows how close we are to undefeated. Lost 4 games by a combined 19 points. Had 6 turnovers in the Vandy game. One on the goal line about to go up by 14 in the fourth quarter. Were beating South Carolina. Had 2 key fumbles. One returned for a touchdown. Played neck and neck with Alabama in T-Town. And Wake Forrest kicked a game winning field goal as time expired. We will surprise the nation tomorrow. Texas Tech was a media darling all year. 92% of ESPN voters predict Tech to win. The most lopsided one. But the spread is at 3.5 and 4? Explain that. Vegas knows. The Florida win was no fluke. Honestly I think if we played Florida 10 times this year. They would win 6 we would win 4. We just match up so well with them.

Remember these key ingredients in our whopping win tomorrow: Landsharks, Greg Hardy, Peria Jerry, Jerrell Powe, Jevan Snead, Brandon Bolden, Shay Hodge, and Dexter McCluster

Ole Miss will gain 200 yards rushing and 300 passing. Texas Tech will still get around 400 yards passing but will be trailing the whole game. There rushing offense will be held to less than 80 yards. Ole Miss wins time of possession by about 20 minutes.

Predicted score: Ole Miss 45 Texas Tech 31 (maybe 24, not sure how many meaningless touchdowns they will get in the fourth quarter)

I disagree with the score as it will be ball control for Ol Miss - not an arial assult. Tech's Def isn't great but it isn't bad either.. However, Ol' Miss's defense the last three shows an impressive 4.3 pts per game avg 123 yds of pass and 108 yds vs run.. Can the High Octane Red Raider offense get shut down like this???

  • Rebels are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog.
  • Rebels are 8-2 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
  • Under is 5-0 in Rebels last 5 Friday games.
  • Under is 5-1 in Rebels last 6 games overall.
  • Under is 6-0 in Red Raiders last 6 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.

Ole Miss defeated the previous two national champions at their home stadiums this year. And lost to Number 1 Alabama at Alabama 24-20. With the ball with 2 minutes left and inside the Bama 40. Everybody is in for a surprise in this game.

money - you can't look at the LSU victory as a major accomplishment. LSU (aside from kicking GT in the mouth the other night) is not the same team it was a few years ago.. With that said, beating FLorida in Gainsville this year is and even though Florida had a chance to win that game - Ol Miss deserves it thus giving it the status to beat anyone any day... I just hope they have enough to beat TTech.

I see this game in the mid 60's like the Baylor game against TTech.. Possibly lower as Ol Miss has a defense and really the teams that they played this season really didn't with the exception of Oklahoma. - their lone loss.

Alright guys about to leave the hotel. Gonna try and answer a few questions first.

Ole Miss went 0-8 in the SEC and had been horrible for the past 3 years. A culture of losing was apparent. Ed Orgeron was a great recruiter but just not a gameday coach. However he also didn't have a quarterback. Last years quarterback was a walkon from Delta State that could not start there. Jevan Snead is a great quarterback and it took a few games for him to play up to his potential.

Ole Miss has lost 4 games this year by a combined 19 points. Lost by 6 to Vandy. Committed 6 turnovers. Had an interception returned for a touchdown and a fumble at Vandy's goal-line. Completely dominated the game and still almost one even with the turnovers.

The Bama game was a battle till the end and lost 24-20.

Lost to Wake Forrest at Wake on a last second field goal. Jevan Snead became a man in this one. Only his second start but led Ole Miss to a touchdown with 1 minute left to go up. Ole Miss defense was very bad in the beginning of the season. Greg Hardy was hurt and there were other injuries. Greg Hardy led the SEC in sacks but did not play enough games to be ranked. Explain that.

Lost to South Carolina. Had 2 key fumbles in South Carolina's territory. One was returned 60 yards for a touchdown. Both were in the second half. Ole Miss was up for most of the game.

All in all Ole Miss is not an 8-4 team. It took awhile for this team to mesh with a new coach and a quarterback that had to sit out a year. Not only did this team have a new coach but a culture of losing. Took awhile for the team to realize all they could accomplish.

The Defensive Line for Ole Miss could be the best one in the best 10 years anywhere. Greg Hardy and Peria Jerry both will be first round draft picks. Jerrell Powe is a beast also. Kentrell Lockett is pretty damn good to. No one has the depth that we have or the amount of talent and that is not a homer pick. Coach Orgeron was a D-Line coach and he recruited some monsters. Our secondary has quietly gotten a lot better. They are very physical. Graham will be pressured the whole day by our defense and be flustered early. And that will be with out blitzing. The "Landsharks" will give Graham hell.

The only reason I see this game so high scoring is because Ole Miss will move the ball at will against Texas Tech. Eastern Washington a Division 2 team scored 28 against them. They will run on average about 2 times and then pass. But Ole Miss's passing game is pretty damn good now. Shay Hodge and Mike Wallace are great. The running game is insane with 3 guys capable of toking the rock and Dexter McCluster also when we run the wild rebel. Texas Tech's defense surrendered almost 500 yards to Nevada with the run, 400 yards to SMU with the pass, and 400 yards each to 2 Division 2 teams. They can be beat. Michael Oher will provide Jevan Snead with ample time to make decisions and Jevan Snead will make Texas wish he stayed.

Thats all the time I have but best of luck to all of you.

Remember these names: Greg Hardy, Peria Jerry, Jerrell Powe, Brandon Bolden, Dexter McCluster, Shay Hodge, Mike Wallace, and Jevan Snead

You just named Vandy, Wake Forest, and South Carolina...These teams are TERRIBLE!!! Tech at one point was the #1 Team in the COUNTRY!! Buddy, I hope you arent placing 15 G's on your OLE MISS REBELS b/c they are your "favorite" team or b/c you go to school there..if so, I hope your credit is good to get a loan to pay the 16500 you are about to lose..GOOD LUCK:nohead::nohead:

You guys laughed and ridiculed him but as Pat Someral just said "Ole Miss, I think, is a lot tougher than people thought they were gonna be"

Nobody laughed at him. All we said is that if he keeps betting 80% of his bankroll on games, he won't be gambling too long

He might get lucky this time, but it will catch up and he will be chasing and having to get loans to pay his loses.

I'm glad I didn't wager 80% of my bankroll on it, more like 10%, but great call on this game. (Unless TT scores 21 in the last 4 min and I look like a fool with this post).
