I don't blame him at all. You can clearly see him look legitimately confused as to why it said what it said. He was stalling to see if someone would realize the error. A shame as the story should have been about the upset win for Moonlight but it is instead about who fucked up the envelopes. Very interesting Emma Stone came right out and said she had her card saying she won the entire time, so was it a duplicate of her card given to him to read?
Exactly why it was staged. No way in hell that shit was an honest mistake. What if he was given best actor in a leading role and announced Manchester? It had to be the huge fav where they pull your leg for. These actors are all millionaires. No one should feel slrry for them. It's entertainment. Plus what are the chances you accidentally give the duplicate to Warren Beatty. If they make duplicates of them all then that just makes it even more unlikely for it to be a honest mistake at the most dramatic part of the night. Entertainment.
Not every actor is a millionaire but that is neither here or there. If it was staged, I doubt everyone is in on it as I am pretty sure the minorities would not play along when it is taking away from their career moment. If it was staged and most were not in on it, that is a complete shame to do something so stupid.
Of course the actors, directors, writers, etc weren't involved. But the directors and actors are paid well and those are the people who benefit the most from recognition from these awards. And even if they got played, they still are rich. No way backstage makes that mistake after a commercial. This isn't an actress letting a titty slip. It's a commotion created on purpose. Only plausible explanation is if Warren took the wrong card on accident. But I highly doubt they give responsibility to the presenters. So they let the old guy get blamed. Movies were overall as a group all weak this year.
