HM do you have a opinion on how to get posters to post on a reg thing again to get volume up or is it a lost cause these days

The sports forums have always been the busiest parts of therx.

Many more posters & viewers there vs Offshore.

Some sites are slow enough they post plays & all in their General Discussion Forum.

I think many got tired of the hassles of getting funds back & forth to books.
But if they knew about Bitcoin some would probably be back around.

Like BAS said, if & when this legalization starts, the growth from newcomers to the hobby & forum world, coupled with many who might return, will be big for all forums...

Ya...I wasn't saying it was dead here. I was saying the opposite...relatively.

The other spots are dead fish. They should really just turn those sites into chat rooms because about 1:25 threads are sports related. And maybe 10% of those are even gambling related.

NFL Forum is dead here on Sundays. Seems like CFB is the only place to get traction.

Fantasy football is so much more popular. Check Rotoworld fantasy forum and all the in game threads are pages deep. Not more than 2 -3 posts here

I can imagine a FFF thread

I just got 2 points
my guy waz open damn he had 4 points thier throw him the damn ball
damn catch that ball
in the grasp in needed that sack

JC himself would get 20 pages on a game

People on and people posting are two different stories.

That's always has been the case though.

Not saying back in the day it wasn't hopping around here. But other than Rotoworld, tell me which Sports forum has even 5,000 people on and 5,000 posting ??

Covers. Just on Sundays, there are 7 to 8 pages of post. I just miss the old days. You would have 10 to 20 guys that would post there winning plays. Those guys never thought about going tout.

Twitter, Facebook so much about the Landscape of Online Sports/Gambling Discussion has changed since the time of those Number of Users Online. Politics getting mixed into NFL, Difficulties with Online Sportsbooks...maybe you're even going back as far in time to when US Bettors could use Pinnacle & BetCris....

No one is gonna wanna hear this probably but I believe also that problems arising from Concussions (CTE) in NFL have turned some people off from the game. When Junior Seau took his life that was a Hard Wake Up Call, to some people.

Covers = So Many and quite alot of the discussion threads turn into fights. That doesn't happen here as much, thankfully.

Covers is a joke.
I would put SBR in that same category but I don't want to get exiled yet.

It's probably sustainable because overhead is really low. Never use those sites but I doubt the monthly nut to keep them going is very much at all.

what's a ballpark overhead number for a place like eog? pay a few mod and techies total around 125K? Website/server maintenance another 10K? And the owners of course get theirs...whatever that is.

I have no idea honestly.

Can barely be breaking even right? There that much ad revenue?
