COVID-19 Special Rules
1) If the season ends before 5 weeks are played, everyone gets a full refund
2) If 5 weeks are played but the season is NOT completed, then both of the following will apply
(A) Unbeaten teams split the last unbeaten prize money
(B) All remaining participants split the remaining pool based on strikes remaining. For example, if there are 39 total strikes remaining, anyone with no strikes (read losses) will get 2/39 times total prize money (sans the last unbeaten prize money) and teams with one strike get 1/39 of the pool. Teams that already lost two games are shit out of luck.
3) If a game is cancelled and a player took one of the teams, that or those players will be required to make two picks the very next week. I'm not sure Yahoo will accommodate this, I have asked them to make this change, but if they can't then I'll track the second pick in this thread. I don't expect this to be an issue, since it would mean a game was cancelled at the last minute.
4) If one or multiple games are cancelled in one week and then the season is cancelled before any player can make the same number of picks as the other participants, then the standings will revert back to the last "fully completed" week.
5) If the contest runs into the playoffs, be it by natural causes or COVID related, then;
(A) All teams are once again available to all remaining players
(B) The contest will run as long as there are 4 playoff games being played during any given week (traditionally the Wildcard round followed by the 1st round of the playoffs) After that, playoff survivor gets pretty fucked up
As always, with unanimous consent of all remaining teams, the prize money can be disbursed in any manner you so choose
I don't anticipate we'll need these special rules, but it's better to put them in place now just in case.
If anyone can think of something I may have overlooked, please let me know
