dealing drugs, pimping and hustling is still work. It is illegal but still hard work. It's not like he was rolling innocent dudes in alleys or robbing liquor stores. Which is trying to profit off of somebody's hard work.

Your right we don't know the circumstances behind the black dudes crimes. He doesn't look like a gangbanger to me maybe just a neighborhood thug with a chip on his shoulder. Maybe he was dealing drugs himself and killed somebody who tried robbing him or a self defense thing with an unregistered weapon which is a crime but at least nobody innocent died in the process.
