5th in the 500 rebuy this morning to win ~40, lost a massive flip at FT when my AK lost to 66 (flopped an ace he rivered a 6 :( )
31st in the 1k rebuy, 3 spots out of the money when my TP+SD ran into TPBK and I missed
2nd in the 1k hyper turbo which paid ~230 :toast:

Well had a lot of chips when it denigrated into a shove-fest, which is typically right where I wanna be. People will shove with any ace, that's where it's nice to have a lot of chips and be patient and pick people off cause you will always get action on your big hands.

Then my AQ lost to A2, my KJ lost to 78o, and my QQ lost to QK, and here I am.

That one apparently wasn't meant to be. Late joining the 10k now but I'm tilting from that garbage so I don't like my chances.

Sounds like me and you have similar styles.
I play mtts 100% different then sngs. I'm the tightest player at the table in sngs the first 4 blind levels but in mtts I try to see every cheep flop I can.

The money is made on mtts by hitting flops hard.

I will call small raises early in mtts even when I'm 100% positive that I'm behind early.

limp with 78 j10 ect early and raise big with the big hands later when the blinds are big.

The money is made when you can call a small raise from someone with aa or kk when you have jq and you you hit your flop hard .
that's the kind of hand you can take all of the other players chips because some people aren't capable of folding aa no matter how the board looks.

Yeah chop it's pretty obvious when someone has aces too, so I am more willing to set mine and play suited connectors even facing a reasonably-sized 3 bet, but stacks have to be deep enough that you're being offered the correct implied odds.

When the blinds get high I pretty much only play hands that have good pair value like AK AQ and obv the big pairs. My range really narrows down and you will almost never find me involved in a pot with a QJ type of hand (unless I try to 3 bet light and get picked off).

I will play a 35/12 game at low blind levels and a 15/14 game later in the tourney.

Honest story, I keep a list in notepad of bad beats I've put on others. We seem to always remember the beats against us and never the ones we hand out.

Every time I shove with AQ and get called by AK and win, I mark it down. Every time I beat AA with 78o, I mark it down.

Then when I take a nasty beat I pull it out and read it and it makes it all OK.

made my first final table in the 3k gtd.......was the chip leader bouncing the first guy from the final table. Ended up finishing 4th. Went out losing on the river to what else? A straight.....kth)(&^

That is a lot of time invested to make 220 bucks.....lol. Think it's time to play madden.

Interesting strategy. Pretty much the opposite of what most MTT experts advise.

Been wanting to play some poker lately. I don't have a 5dimes account, and am wondering how hard it would be to get a deposit into them from the US...

Hell of an idea. I did this a while back (before Black Friday, or whatever it was called) and after 3 months it was full of bad beats against me, and hardly any for me. Made me chuckle, and pissed me off even more. And no, I am not saying it is/was rigged, it was obviously just a bad stretch and a small sample size.
