I too have had problems with 5dimes customer service as so have many other people. In fact, some people won't bet with them for this reason alone.
I usually use the live chat option on their web site since they used to sell your phone number if you called in using your cell phone or home phone. Sometimes I will ask a question and they won't type anything. They wait for over a full minute before typing something.
However, I recently have had a couple occasions with their live help that were very nice. They were professional and answered my questions in a timely manner. Hopefully they are hiring better people realizing that they may be losing customers due to their past poor customer service.
If all of this is true, then why do people do business with them if there are more attractive alternatives?
What exactly did they say before they hung up?

The $10 is not the issue at this point, being hung up on, and scolded by a customer service employee is the issue. I am just glad that I don't have alot on account with them at this point. This is a matter how people get treated not money at this point. I am a professional in life and expect to be treated like one as long as I conduct myself in a professional manner, and it pisses me off to be treated like shit from a $10 an hour clerk.

I have always heard of how 5dimes customer service is the worst there is, but I never had any issues with them until today. I was trying to have an error corrected in my account and was hungup on by them. I then called back and asked for a supervisor and the lady was combative. DON'T USE 5DIMES IF YOU WANT A DEPENDABLE BOOK.
