When you look at the list there is only one answer.....LT and I'll give you my reasoning behind it.

When you are on the goal line I want a back who has the ability to bounce a play to the outside and have the speed to beat a safety to the corner and the power to slip past a linebacker. He has to be able to beat a defender in the open field 1 on 1 if he bounces it with the ability to stop on a dime and cut upfield.

He also has to be able to jump over the pile for a score also. This will force a defense to have to defend from sideline to sideline on this fourth and 1 play.

LT gives you the best option to convert anyone of the above situations.

If you go with this thought process give me Barry Sanders

AP while considered a "power back" runs too upright for me in this situation. He is the closest thing to LT right now but I'll take a guy that has been there and down that. Plus...why would I take a guy (AP) who doesn't get the goal to goal carries for his own team. Chester Taylor was brought in many times for 1st and goal carries last year simply because Taylor runs behind his pads better than AP does.

Jacobs is really only a threat from tackle to tackle. If he bounces a play and gets his shoulders square with the sideline...the defense wins. Everyone saw how the Eagles were able to take him away when the linebackers knew he was going between the tackles. You can't run a pitch with him since he doesn't have the speed to get to the corner.

He's a lock too. He's the guy I would give the ball to when facing a 1st and goal from the 20.
Anyone that tells he that he isn't the greatest running back of all time (yes better than Payton, Brown, Emmit....best ever) since he didn't have any help his entire career. I love watching highlights of him from his college and NFL days.

The only thing he doesn't have is the power to run someone over like LT does. Now if this question was for a touch football game.....Barry Sanders is option #1 thru #4!!!!

The Kinz.

That is an amazing photo of Sanders. His shoulders are still square to the line of scrimmage and he is one of the only people to ever play football to do something that isn't suppose to be humanly possible.....he is cutting off his INSIDE FOOT!!!!

That is fucking unbelievable!!!!!!

I'll take Emmit Smith assuming I would get his offensive line from 92-96 which consisted of 30 pro bowl appearances over their careers and 3 SB wins. (Williams, Allen, Newton, Tunei and Stepnowski)...only other better O Line I can think of MIGHT and thats a big MIGHT would be the Raiders O Line of the 70s that produced 3 Hall of Famers (Upshaw, Shell and Otto)...Offensive Line is more important than your running back at the one yard line

Did any of you youngsters ever hear of a guy by the name of Jim Taylor ? This guy was a true warrior and led the Green Bay Packers to many NFL Championships. Read what the legendary Vince Lombardi had to say....Jim Brown will give you that leg and then take it away from you. Jim Taylor will give it to you and then ram it through your chest!"
