like I said, I get notified afterwards but I have no input into the acquisitions. my guy just bought me a ton-ass of Abbott Laboratories and I only know because I got their prospectus in the mail. if it shoots up (please, please) was I doing something illegal?

now if you want to argue that all of congress should only be allowed to own ETF's directly related to the overall performance of DOW or S&P, and not allowed to own individual stocks, I'm on board. There is no doubt this goes on every day and with every representative

why would you say haha? do you have a financial advisor? i have no fn idea what he does day to day...i signed over the approval for him to make moves on my behalf without my approval so if THAT is what she's saying, then it's probably accurate. If she calls her advisor and tells him she knows who is getting the Covid vaccine contract then it's a problem

This is true. An advisor does his/her job on behalf of the client. Hopefully in a fiduciary capacity.
