One Reply notes that there are actually eight possible outcomes of a 3Teamer, so getting back only 6x1 is a rip.

But Doug also correctly notes that if you make a single play at 11/10 and roll it over twice into subsequent 11/10 wagers, you'll come out at about 6.1

11>21>40.10>76.60

minus your original 11 and you're at 66.60

sounds a tad off barman, +596 is the correct payoff, often rounded to +600.

Hard to believe this is the same guy that came up with the algebra to make -1 lines.

Did you starting pot recently, Illini ?
No. I'm not doing any pot. I just haven't really thought about this concept much, until a thread at another forum, where people were debating it. One guy said way to much vig in parlays to ever play them, another guy said that 3-teamers weren't a ripoff, because at 6-1, you're getting a better deal than -110. They are both correct. The math does show that you're laying less than -110, but when you make a parlay bet, the math also shows that the net vig goes up. Just had a brain freeze, that's all.

Certainly agree that if you have sufficient time between Events to place the items separately, it's better to play the first one straight and then roll over into a second straight bet etc
It is for 2-teamers, but not 3. However, when you figure you can get reduced juice on at least one of the bets, as well as maybe getting a better number with line shopping, it does figure to be the correct move to parlay them yourself as you go.

Actually, the best method is to have good money management, and only increase your bet size when that independent bet has a bigger advantage. But we are all gamblers sometimes, and I certainly get the desire to put a parlay in when you feel really good about a bunch of bets.

two teamers are the way to go with decent correlation, three teamers are my choice with Bonus Play.

my local offer 3team boxes which is 3 parlays A+B A+C B+C and it pays 9-1 (100 gets you back 900) 2of3 get you back 60 (on the 100box) and 0-3 and 1-3 you lose 360

and i have been playing them more often lately in NCAA foots with big favs like OU FLA TT's etc with the OVER as i see it being HIGH correlated....this past week i keyed NCoasts GOY with OU/OVER and it paid off

even regular parlays i believe right now in NCAA foots with the big guns is highly correlated FLA/OVER vs Vandy which i had is another good example...i basically think at this point in time the big guns going for the title game arent gonna let up....and if a team like OU covers most likely its gonna be in a 50-20 type fashion thus also pushing it over the total etc

just my 2cents

Husker...that sounds like some kind of action reverse or something.
I do think 3-teamers on parlay cards (there are only a few that come out early)can be +EV if you get on the good side of numbers once they move.
