I don't make the laws in the US. But I do support this one 100%. 18 as an age of consent is very reasonable.

If the girl is 15 or under then no sex
If the girl is 16 or 17 then sex is fine as long as the guy is < 25
If the girl is 18+ then pound her into ash

Age of consent laws would be better served if they included or were limited to age differences (it's sorta like that up here). If an 18-year old boy sleeps with his 16-year old girlfriend, he can end up on a sex offender's registry. That's obviously ridiculous. How many of us here actually waited until they were 18? (On purpose, I mean.)

But a 23-year old with a 15-year old is an entirely different matter.

In Canada once a girl is 14 she's ok to sleep with men as long as they don't misrepresent their age. My brother had to deal with this with some dirty F'r coming around my niece. He ended up knocking the guy out then the police came for him...they didn't charge him just gave him an education about the laws.
