I don't make the laws in the US. But I do support this one 100%. 18 as an age of consent is very reasonable.
It seems to be 16 in most states of the USA, with variations from 14-18:

Age of consent laws would be better served if they included or were limited to age differences (it's sorta like that up here). If an 18-year old boy sleeps with his 16-year old girlfriend, he can end up on a sex offender's registry. That's obviously ridiculous. How many of us here actually waited until they were 18? (On purpose, I mean.)
But a 23-year old with a 15-year old is an entirely different matter.
