Also, 27 straight series with a playoff win

Experience, that intangible shit means A LOT in the NBA playoffs.

Disagree with most of that but GL to you.
What do you disagree with?

Kings are atrocious defensively by any metric. They're like the Vikings of the NBA. Good record, win a lot of close games, but they're letting everyone score on them

The Warriors starting lineup has the best net rating of any lineup in the NBA that's played the minimum level of minutes to qualify for the metric (forget exact #). That's a fact.

That's not entirely correct and actually untrue. If you want me to help you take a deeper dive let me know. I'll start with this. IF the Kings do lose a home game in the series they happen to be the best road team in the entire Western Conference and they also have the 8th best defensive efficiency on the road in the entire league. You're looking at the their defense as a whole. If you honestly think your comment of GS under -300 for a series price is good value i have to agree to disagree. If that's the case GL if you bet that.

The Kings are 25th in the league in defensive efficiency, and the worst of the 20 teams still alive entering the play-in games.

The Warriors would struggle more against a team with athleticism and size....the Kings don't really have either of those. They have some very skilled offensive players -- they'll score a bit.

The home/away thing doesn't really matter. Warriors are 16th if def efficiency despite not being at full strength for most of the season, coasting, etc. obviously not great, but Wiggins and Payton are obviously important for their defense and they've been without them for a long time.

Warriors have been here, done that. People dismissed their experience last year against teams like the Grizzlies, Mavs, Celtics....oops! That shit matters in the NBA.

They probably split the first 2 games, then it's a home sweep the rest of the way.

First, Sac will score a bit? I would hope so since they're #1 in the entire league offensively. You really went out on a limb there lol. The home/away metrics for a full season does matter. As I said the Kings are the best road team in the ENTIRE Western Conference and they're 8th in the entire league on the road in schedule adjusted defensive efficiency. If you are serious about metrics you should be honest about them and not disregard some to strengthen your position on a certain team. GS may win the series but as a whole, to say -300 or so for GS in this particular series is good value is just simply not accurate if you're a serious bettor. BTW if anyone knows the Warriors team it would be the Kings head coach. GL

Because the winner tonight is locked in to the 7th seed. The loser gets another chance at making the playoffs as the 8th seed by playing the winner of the last 2 teams to qualify in the play-in. Its dumb but it allows the league to gather more public interest and for the league to make more money.

  • Game 1s (Tuesday): Each conference's No. 7 team in the standings will host the No. 8 team, with the winner earning the No. 7 seed in the playoffs. The losing teams get another chance in Friday's Game 3s
  • Game 2s (Wednesday): Each conference's No. 9 team will host the No. 10 team, with the winner moving on to Game 3. The losers are eliminated and enter the NBA draft lottery.
  • Game 3s (Friday): The losers of the No. 7 vs. No. 8 matchups will host the winners of the No. 9 vs. No. 10 matchups, with the victors grabbing each conference's No. 8 seed in the postseason. The losers of Game 3 enter the NBA draft lottery.
This means that the teams with the seventh and eighth-highest winning percentages will have two opportunities to win one game to earn a playoff spot, while the teams with the ninth and 10th-highest winning percentages need to win two straight games to advance.

This isnt the regular season. Warriors are a much better defensive team at full strength, plus this is a playoff scenario. The game changes in the playoffs.

The Warriors know this better than anyone.

People were saying Boston would score quite a bit last year. Only cracked 100 in 2 of the 6 games

Im not saying regular season stats are completely meaningless, hell Ive cited some. But this isnt like analyzing teams in the NFL. The game fundamentally changes in the playoffs.

Warriors got the 1 possible higher seed they can beat....will still most likely lose as they can not win on the road. But a chance against the defenseless Kings.

Warriors won't sniff conference finals though...

Yeah I think that’s what happens as well.
They played 3 times in the first month of the season with both teams at full strength and your telling me GS -300 is good value without home court. I guess they were just cruising thorough the first month of the season. GS won at home twice by 5 points and 3 points. They lost in Sac by 7. It's a Sac or nothing series wager for me. GL in the playoffs. It should be fun.

10/23 Sac 125 @ GS 130 (GS full team)
11/07 Sac 113 @ GS 116 (GS full team)
11/13 GS 115 @ Sac 122 (GS full team)

Yeah, Im sure the Warriors were really getting up for the Kings in October/November just a few months after winning a championship. LOL

These games were meaningless. If Warriors or Kings were 3-0 in those games itd still be meaningless.

True. They weren't playing all out and trying to get off to a good start to the season they were just coasting lol.
