Even that wouldn't have helped me. I thot The "Local Guys" I chose + Rahm just off Victory at The Irish Open was a decent strategy, chose the wrong Locals, very wrong Neighborhood Guys and Rahm just: Blah.
GREAT Competitive SetUp tho, a few of RX's GoodGuys battling for the Win here.
Weather did not Co-operate. Course SetUp too of course, to some degree. You get (in Round 2) the Weather + SetUp we saw today, in Round 3, and that Cut Line is very very different.
Like 'Night & Day' these 2 Rounds.
I was surprised that The R & A relented, via SetUp of the course for Rd. 3, to such Low Scores but glad they did.....Real True "Moving Day."
I don't think it was a dumb comment at all. Valid Question: The Level of Rory's "Hunger" to excel, with "more than $200 Million" in the Bank, getting married and everything else in his life. valid Question, to me anyways.
Also: Tiger's Take on that Wrist Injury Rory got playing Pick Up basketball. Rory's putting woes might support Tiger's Take that the injury would have ongoing repercussions.
Valid Questions. IMO. I don't know the answers, do feel that discussion of these things is not "crazy."
I think Rory could/should be one of the top players based on his ability. What I question with many good/great players is their drive. They are already have all the money they need. They need that something extra that makes them want to be the best. Not sure if Rory still has that drive. See how he does after not being injured for awhile.
I said for quite awhile one reason the USA was losing the Ryder Cup is we had too many very rich nice guys that didnt want to win or care as much as the Euros. For the Euros...they just wanted it more. We had better golfers based on how they did in majors and tournaments.....but they didnt have that drive/killer instinct in match play type scenario. See Kuchar, Phil, Hunter, Stricker to name a few. For that matter as good as Tiger was...when he wasnt playing for money going into his pocket....he was not very good in the Ryder Cup....especially considering he was head and shoulders the best player. We needed some fresh blood with some moxie to make a clutch putt like Reed or Fowler to finally win.
