I think Winston and Mariotta are two of the more polished qbs to come out in a long time and will have great success in the NFL. Think Tampa will have something with Winston and all those receivers.

There you have it. Their fates are sealed. 2 most polished....I love it.

Not sure if I agree Ak, but hoping you're right & it works out for the Bucs...

Winston MAY do ok but Mariota is a bust waiting to happen.

He's not right. A gun to my head. I take Mariotta over the guy that will hit the local reporter, party at Florida St, rape girls, not speak English, kill his coach, get to 280 at 26 years old, get his GM fired, and on top of all of that, may have the worst head coach in all of football including pee wee.

Source: Bucs want to acquire additional first-round draft pick

Ed Werder, ESPN NFL Inside

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could make Florida State Seminoles quarterbackJameis Winston the first pick in the draft and trade to acquire another first-round pick later Thursday night.

According to a source, the Bucs are talking to multiple teams looking to move out of the late first round in exchange for Tampa Bay's pick in the second round -- No. 34 overall, which is the second pick Friday night.

It is not known what else the Bucs would be required to offer a team to move.

Any trade likely would be made on the clock so Tampa Bay and the other team know which players are available. Pass-rushers Randy Gregory and Shane Raycould fall to the bottom of the first round or lower because of incidents involving marijuana.
The Bucs consider acquiring a pass-rusher a priority in this draft.

Other than Andrew Luck, I just haven't seen a college QB be able to stand in the pocket in a pro system and make the reads and throws Winston does. He made some stupid 1st half throws last year... but his first two seasons compared to Luck's first two seasons, he had over 2000 yards more passing, and like 20 more tds... plus a higher qb efficiency. For a college qb not to run in one of those gimmicky 5 wide offenses or scramble all over the place and chuck the ball up, not going to find much better than Winston. He's as NFL ready as I've seen when it comes to on the field pocket passing talent... other than Luck of course.

One of my favorite sporting events. I laugh, I curse, I shake my head, I make fun of millionares. And to top it off, I listen to ESPN the next day as they will claim crazy things. Chip Kelley could trade 10 first round picks, ESPN will claim he is brilliant knowing full well he is fired within 3 years. You cant rip Tampa, Winston is the guy and if you disagree, you are a racist.

I don't believe anything I read 2 hours before the draft. This tells you everything. The Bucs and Titans want to both be out of their spots right now. If the Bucs felt confident about those 2 jackasses, they would announce it so they can focus on the rest of the draft.

I hate when I hear people around here in Central Florida (and nationwide) that the Bucs NEED a QB so they MUST take one of these guys.

Yes, the Bucs do need a QB.

But you shouldn't settle for something.

If you are shopping for a new pair of shoes, and you wear a 10, but they don't have your size, you don't purchase a pair of 11's just because you need and/or want those shoes...

I've been saying this for years. "Oh know we dont have a real quarterback, I will give you 11 picks now"

Really shocked the Titans didn't trade the #2 pick.

Titans have needs all over they just took a guy who is, in my mind, a 3rd rounder, with the #2 overall pick. If they don't trade Mariota they are going to be very bad for the next 4-5 seasons.

Raiders draft Amari Cooper. I like him. Too bad he's on the Raiders. RIP Amari Cooper's career.

Bucs are going to be sorry picking this fool as the #1 pick.. Titans have a very good QB going forward....Should be around 10-15 years playing at a high caliber.. Bucs should have took him but the Bucs always mess things up
