great start; in an earlier post you mentioned placing a smaller amount on the money line on your mostly underdog bets; would this make sense on most? 2-4 point dogs and would a 1/3 to 1/2 amount be appropriate? thanks
The ML Bets on the Underdogs have yielded a positive return on these wagers in previous seasons. It does make sense on any Dog from 1'- 4 points (and beyond). A 1/3 or 1/2 amount would be too much in my opinion; If/When I play the ML on these Dogs, I play them for 10% (or 1/10) of my spread wager if the Dog is +1' - +4 and 5% (or 1/20) from +4' - +7. The ML's this Sunday were the Bills +130 and the Rams +150. The "side ML bet" will not be counted as part of the 40 selections; as the four of us do not wager on the ML as a group bet. There are 2 of us who do however wager on the ML's individually (on some of these bets), and I can keep a side count in this thread for tracking purposes.
Just to be clear, we do not bet the ML as a "side bet" on our Underdog picks as a "group bet"...therefore, they will NOT be official 40/40 selections. There are times when our actual bet is on a team at a pk at +105 or +110...this will be clear and self explanatory if and when this should occur throughout the season.
We will have some chalk bets this year as well; they have been few and far between in the past, but highly effective.
Thank you Pepster and BOL to you this season.
