thanks for the reply Pop's regarding what you mean by closing out a game. If I may ask is there any more in betting both sides as you said you normally do let one side ride?

Pops the Mets are home team -175 HF6, Tampa are home team -210 HF5, I would think that the -175 should be a HF5 and the -210 should be a HF6.

are you talking about yesterday. i had a bunch of those wrong on the pdws i uploaded. todays are correct plus i put the correct ones in the master

below is the data range for the hf and hd 1-7 in the table below

<table style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 167pt;" width="222" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><col style="width: 48pt;" width="64"> <col style="width: 71pt;" width="94"> <col style="width: 48pt;" width="64"> <tbody><tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt; width: 48pt;" width="64" align="right" height="17">1</td> <td class="xl64" style="width: 71pt;" width="94">-100</td> <td class="xl65" style="width: 48pt;" width="64">-115</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt;" align="right" height="17">2</td> <td class="xl64">-116</td> <td class="xl65">-125</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt;" align="right" height="17">3</td> <td class="xl64">-126</td> <td class="xl65">-140</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt;" align="right" height="17">4</td> <td class="xl64">-141</td> <td class="xl65">-160</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt;" align="right" height="17">5</td> <td class="xl64">-161</td> <td class="xl65">-180</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt;" align="right" height="17">6</td> <td class="xl64">-181</td> <td class="xl65">-220</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 12.75pt;" height="17"> <td style="height: 12.75pt;" align="right" height="17">7</td> <td class="xl64">-221</td> <td class="xl65">-1000</td> </tr> </tbody></table>

I have re-read post 1 again... I still do not see any explaination on HD1, HD2, HD3, and so on...

there is an excel file that i uploaded with all that info but budda posted the post number where it's all spelled out as well. my text file and word files were too large and couldnt upload to the rx

when you do data you can use specific points as u get way to many variables that are meaningless so i put things in buckets (ranges) for the HF and HD home fav and home dog they are opening ML ranges for the home and visiting teams. those bucket ranges for each are below.

if you read post #1 you should have already down loaded the 2009 master files and it show all of those ranges in the

CAT Ranges Tab of the spreadsheet (only one colored red)

the one you asked about are also below.

<table style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 242pt;" width="323" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><col style="width: 98pt;" width="131"> <col style="width: 48pt;" width="64"> <col style="width: 48pt;" width="64"> <col style="width: 48pt;" width="64"> <tbody><tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl96" style="height: 15pt; width: 98pt;" width="131" height="20">LINE RANGE CATS</td> <td class="xl95" style="width: 48pt;" width="64">1</td> <td class="xl95" style="width: 48pt;" width="64">100</td> <td class="xl95" style="width: 48pt;" width="64">115</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl96" style="height: 15pt;" height="20">
</td> <td class="xl95">2</td> <td class="xl95">116</td> <td class="xl95">125</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl96" style="height: 15pt;" height="20">
</td> <td class="xl95">3</td> <td class="xl95">126</td> <td class="xl95">140</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl96" style="height: 15pt;" height="20">
</td> <td class="xl95">4</td> <td class="xl95">141</td> <td class="xl95">160</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl96" style="height: 15pt;" height="20">
</td> <td class="xl95">5</td> <td class="xl95">161</td> <td class="xl95">180</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl96" style="height: 15pt;" height="20">
</td> <td class="xl95">6</td> <td class="xl95">181</td> <td class="xl95">220</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl96" style="height: 15pt;" height="20">

would you say it is profitable to fade the moves on totals?

more so early on as most are based on last year numbers and x season each of which are useless.

but if the move is based on valid external factors than just lay off

It was todays, and it was ATL home -175 HF6 not the Mets. Hungover this morning not seeing things that close.

This is just a part of the article.

The Queens, New York, district attorney is continuing the crackdown on offshore gambling, and the office announced Wednesday the arrest of 38 individuals.

Costa Rica is cited as the location for what officials called computerized wire rooms through which the New York operation conducted much of its business.

The District Attorney's Office specified www.crownsports.com, www,jazzsports.com, www.5dimes.com, www.bigonsports.com and www.betcris.com

Sorry Pops, I meant to ask is it highly profitable playing both sides as you say. If I am understanding you correct you play one side earlier and then bet the other side later and try for as you call the "scalp".
Please let me know if I am off base.

depends on what you call profitable. last year it would avg 3-5k per day of profit. so far this year a little more, but that because of so very decent size LM and the fact that i've been taking a greater risk by projecting the moves early vs only betting the scalps i find.

but it's a hell of a lot of work as well. much more than any real job i ever had 14 plus hours every day w/o a break and no life other than that for 7 months straight

Wow sounds like a crazy 7 months for you. So if I got this correct you play one side early maybe even the day before then when the line moves the other way you jump on the other side? How do you make money doing this? Is it a combination of money line and RL?
So for the questions, I am just trying to understand how one can make so much money per day.

I'm thinking SF gets some movement as ATL is flying cross country to play a early evening game.

"Scalping" requires a lot of work (way beyond just walking up to the counter and placing a bet). Follow "Pops" thread closely and be quiet and learn.

The "indians" latched onto this method a long time ago.

does anyone use the streaks data. it's the only thing that i still need to program for the pdws. i dont dump the data into the master as its nothing you can use with other data because its tough to tie into the other numbers and make it work. it would be the col L10 STRK HOM and ROAD

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/standings/?tcid=mm_mlb_standings

need to know how and why you use it and how you make it work for you

Thank you Baccy for the link on scalping

Mark Mcdonald dont ever tell me to be quiet, you dont learn by not asking questions, so if you have anything further to tell me PM so we do not cluter Pop's thread with your moronic statements.
