important things to remember

1. for the month of april i use the 2009 era and whip numbers. if no 2009 numbers the fill numbers are 4.50 for era and 1.250 for whip. if you see those numbers you need to look into those pitchers b4 you make the jump

2. starting in may i use the 2010 numbers, but same applies for no start in 2010 data with the 4.50 and 1.250. also be careful for real odd ball numbers from either god like 1st game or real blow out. what goes up must come down and vice versa

pops- my entire question didn't post right last nite- did you ever hear anything back from SO on email updates for specific info?

2nd question- any thought about bring game of series back in? I think i would be interesting to see umps by series game as we certainly have a feel belief for some of them...

Decent scalp sitting between Matchbook and Wagerstreet for pre-season ball.

MB's got Kansas City +122 for $190.00
Wagerstreet Showing Tejas -110.00

Bet #1: $100.00
Bet #2: $116.29

Total Bet: $216.29
$ Profit: $5.71
% Profit: 2.6420%

Pops - I don't know if you bother with such a low payout but it's pre-season ball and it's there for the taking as I already put in my play and this is left.

nothing back from them on that option

i would love to incorporate the game of the series info into the data base but i'm sure not going to fat finger the data into the pdws as that's the only way i know how to capture it at this point as none of my sources have that number

if you have an ideas fire away. dont even think about any everyone turn bull shit as that's a real pain in the ass

u got it. i was thinking about some sort of a form that might work

i'll put it into the new master as well as the 2009 for shit's and giggles

tks

p.s. one other step which would also help for o/u etc

if home team traveled or back to back home stands

should be doable- need to think of how the formula might look

do you think we should care about how many series they have been at home?

To track games of a series I had a formula I used last year. A bit funky but it worked. Goes like this

Col IB had a formula that read G4899&" - "& P4899
Col IC had a formula that read

IF(SUMPRODUCT((B4837:B4884>B4899-4)*(IB4837:IB4884=IB4899))>=1,SUMPRODUCT((B4837:B4884>B4899-4)*(IB4837:IB4884=IB4899))+1,1)

IB joined the home and away together to make it look like this <TABLE style="WIDTH: 69pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=92><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 69pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 3364" width=92><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt; mso-height-source: userset" height=17><TD style="BORDER-BOTTOM: #ece9d8; BORDER-LEFT: #ece9d8; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent; WIDTH: 69pt; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BORDER-TOP: #ece9d8; BORDER-RIGHT: #ece9d8" class=xl4083 height=17 width=92>SEA - TEX</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Then IC gave the series number based on a match of IB

Will have to modify the cols and row numbers to suit.

Also - got a tip from a guy I trust on an AFL game. Tampa Bay -1.5 (it was +2). Might be worth a few shillings, but tread lightly. The models aren't "well connected" until the teams have played 3 or 4 games and a decent sample of data can be collected.

Tampa Bay -7 now. Nuts. Hope someone jumped in with me.

Just read through the last few pages. God, I missed this thread. More helpful info in here than all the other threads combined.
