SoonerBS thanks for all these write ups you've done, I loved reading them all.

Your welcome, dude, I'm glad you like them and I hope they will benefit you this season.

Very well done SBS.

I am pretty much in agreement with all of your assessments with few minor details in question, but basically your opinions are all in all pretty realistic.

We'll hammer out the lumps if anything comes up during the season. But it's good to see someone put an effort into the Pac-10 that shows some study instead of just a lot of east coast bias.

Those guys will show up by the hoards in several more weeks for all of us to see. (and laugh at)

The situation doesn't come up very often in the Pac-10. But every week I look for a game in this conference where the home dog has the better defense. There's usually good value in this play for games in general. And the rules apply just as much to the Pac-10. I remember winning quite a bit of money last season on a game where Zona was catching points from Cal at home. Statistically Zona had the better defense. And ended up winning the game. I prefer using lower key games like this rather than say rivalry games like Oregon/Oregon St. or Arizona/Arizona St. where you can pretty much throw the stats out the window. A few possible spots where we could have these betting opportunities with the better defense catching points at home are:

Oregon at Arizona
Oregon St. at ASU
Oregon at UCLA

Of course much will depend on the spread and how well each of these teams are playing at the time they meet.

I appreciate the effort you put in to all your write-ups, SoonerBS.

Over the years, I have been burned numerous times betting on Washington as a favorite. Maybe that will change under Sarkisian, but I refuse to bet on them in that role, until I see positive results.

I know a lot of people say trends are meaningless, but the Huskies have been a horrible bet when they are favored for more than a decade.

Since 1998, the Huskies are 17-36-2 ATS as favorites.
As conference favorites, they are 7-28-2 ATS.
And, as conference favorites of -7.0 or more, they are a pitiful 1-19-1 ATS.

I think it will be tough for Washington to cover against Idaho, and especially against the Cougers in the Apple Cup.
