Just curious but where do you bet these? The lines seem to be a lot better than the avg book in terms of juice....

5dimes and thegreek. I'm sure if you look at both right now they have the same juice available. Shop around at different books you have accounts at when playing these lines because some are very different. 5dimes has the NE line shaded to take the under at something like +135, but thegreek makes you pay a bigger juice to take the under at -115. Jack is an even -110 for both over and under at thegreek, but is shaded to take the under at 5dimes.

Just look around and I'm sure he can find these lines or possibly even better lines with other books.

I took the Jax under 10.5 in Vegas but paid a huge price -135

I like that play. Jacksonville is right now my biggest bet for season win totals. I don't see them winning 11 games.

so let me get this straight:

jax was arguably the 4th best team in the league last year, went 11-4 (sat all their starters week 17) and you have them going 2-2 against the worst division in all of football..??

nfc north will most likely be the only division to not have a team with 10 wins and could have only one team with a winning record

and did you say the lions have a great offense..?? no running game, no o-line and crappy qb... check out these stats:

#30 in sacks allowed
#30 in ints
#31 in rush yds

whether jags go o/u is not my point here... but for you to post 2-2 in that division and think the lions offense is great is pretty crazy

good luck

I'd say the NFC South, AFC East and NFC West are all worse divisions than the NFC North. I will agree there really isn't a great team in the division, but all four teams are capable of being good or slightly better than good. You say their might be no 10 win teams, and you could be right, but I also see 3 teams that could win 10 games. Green Bay and Minnesota certainly could each win 10 games, and sleeper to be a 10 win team. I've said before they could either be a 4-12 team or a 10-6 team this year. They will be good if the defense stays healthy and everything aligns for them. Don't dismiss this division without looking at each team's potential and upsides because it's there.

I'm not going to say Jacksonville wasn't good last year either, but I'm basing my picks on how I think the teams will fare THIS year. I can understand why you think they'll be good and I know a lot of people have this team winning the Super Bowl, but I don't think they make the playoffs. I don't see Garrard playing at the level he did last season, and they still really don't have the WR's to be a top tier offense. Jones-Drew is a home run threat every time he touches the ball, but he can also be contained. Taylor had a great year last season and he is one of my favorite backs, but he is getting old and will start to decline.

I just think 11 wins is a lot to ask of that offense, but we'll see.

Also, the Lions have some of the best skill position players in the league. Williams/Johnson is possibly the scariest WR duo to go up against. If the OL is improved they will be a tough match every week with that offense. The defense will keep them down though, but they too should be improved.

Good luck to you as well.

Washington Redskins O 7.5 (-120) 5 units

Schedule

6 divisional games- @ NYG, @ PHI, @ DAL, vs. NYG, vs. PHI, vs. DAL

4 games vs NFC West- @ SEA, vs ARI, vs STL, @ SF

4 games vs AFC North- @ CIN, vs PIT, vs CLE, @ BAL

2 random opponents- @ DET, vs. NO

Although nobody is talking about them Washington is the second best team in the NFC East division IMO, and possibly the second best team in the NFC. They have a very underrated defense, and a very good secondary. Sean Taylor was a devastating loss, but LaRon Landry could easily be a top 5 safety in the NFL, and Carlos Rogers is a very good CB. Their MLB London Fletcher-Baker is as reliable as they come. He's not a superstar like Ray Lewis, but he is very solid and will be near the top in tackles at the end of the year. McIntosh and Washington are more than adequate at the OLB positions. Then we have their DL. Their interior DL is nothing special with Griffen and Montgomery, but they have outstanding DE's with Andre Carter, and the newly acquired Jason Taylor. This will be a tough defense to score points against this year.

Then we have their offense. Clinton Portis is easily a top 10 RB, and you could make a case that he is in the top 5. There were questions about him entering last season, but he was outstanding as usual and put those questions to rest. They have a good OL. Not one that will dominate the game, but also not one that will lose them the game. Cooley is almost as good as it gets at TE in the NFC. The passing game is the only question mark with this team, and I believe in it. Jason Campbell keeps showing a lot of improvement and has the talent to be a pro bowler in a couple of years, possibly this year if he really makes that step to the next level. They have blazing speed at the WR position with Randle El, Moss and Thomas. The question is do they have the size and toughness though? I'm not sure, but Kelly will have to step up this year and make some sort of an impact as a rookie. Thrash is pretty reliable, but he is just a slot receiver that lacks the size to really be a go to guy. They do have game breakers all over the place though and that makes them dangerous. The passing game will go into pretty big droughts at times this season, I already know that, but they will have times where they light up the scoreboard with big plays and a great running game.

Overall this is a very good team that people need to pay attention to.

Probably just one more future play for me and that is a homer play on the Broncos to go over the total. Waiting for the juice to get lower though as -160 is ridiculous.

Those WR's that Detroit has cannot play D, cannot block for Kitna, and cannot run the ball like a RB could. They are changing their offense anyway with Martz in SF.
