You mean the version with Jack Lemmon (Spencer Tracy), and George C. Scott (Fredric March). Yes I've seen it and liked it very much, even the Beau Bridges character. I love movies based on true historical events, that stay somewhat accurate. No mean feat.

lander: haha, funny. You have the characters mixed up (and Mary Carey or whoever was an invention of somebody else, not me). That happens when you eat too many Twinkies. The sugar rush confuses you.

wil: Bryan was a good policitian, but he went overobard in that trial with his fundamentalist beliefs. Clarence Darrow made a (pardon the pun) monkey out of the guy, which overshadowed the fact that Bryan's side won the case, no doubt the humiliation was a key factor in his death shortly after.

Did you see my thread yesterday? I was just applauding you for acting normal, but now I don't know. That attack on Journey brings back back memories of the old Butches.

Say it's not so.

btw - I am a bit of a twinkie fan (in the Hostess sense - NOT in the pedophiliac porn sense

True about Bryan, humilation and to many of what passed for Twinkies back then. His heart attacked his overweight body. He blamed WW1 on the Godlessness he associated with the theory of evolution. He died a multi-millionaire, even though he was a great campaigner for the rights of the common man.

Judge - Poetic license should be a crime.

lander: nope, didn't see it. I don't read many threads. Thanks. Maybe you could start acting normal, too? I didn't hear you criticizing Journey for his post further up in the thread. When one lives in a large glass house (as Journeyman does), it's usually a bad idea to throw stones.

I always picture Journey as the little piggy that lived in the straw house because he was too busy goofing around ...

not really the glass type

Opps - apparently not much has changed.

<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Funny stuff, Journey.

Let's remember to add you to the list:

1) The one who tried running a scam with a $100 flyer, then wished cancer on Peep for calling you on the scam.

2) The one who outdid William Jennings Bryan and Senator Joseph McCarthy for ineptitude in the kangaroo trial of Sick Gambler.

3) The one who's been begging Shrink for a mod job for the past year (and hasn't enough of a clue to realize it'll never happen because Shrink doesn't want a total space cadet for a mod).

4) The one who made up stories about being owed by BetMega and Yahoops.

5) The one with the imaginary infant daughter that he used for a sympathy ploy to ask for money.

6) The one who tried to scam Pino from Safari Casino

7) The one who tried to advance in a small contest somewhere else on a technicality.

8) The one who starts 20+ threads a day here with titles like "How do you row a boat?"

All of the above are documented. If I had time, I could probably dig up another twenty or thirty beauties of yours.

It's interesting reading your "up in the clouds" and "down in the dumps" posts made within a few minutes of each other (sometimes the mood changes in the same post). There's a word that describes that condition of yours. It's called "bipolar syndrome"

the thing you accuse me of having (and couldn't be further from the truth).

Add. Journeyman is the one who threw his co-workers under a bus when he melted-down on the job and blamed everyone except himself for his trouble.

He is also the one who ran up a $6,000 debt with a co-worker and is not in the process of not re-paying the money six months later.

He is also pratically certifiable when it comes to what he actually believes his real value here was as a moderator (co Head Mod :Carcajada:).

Wow Wil really calling the scum out of late, must be some off board shit going down.

Seems Cigarmans $3000 is never mentioned although at the time when Rick told Cigar he'd send money out of Mikes check Cigar told me he'd rather eat the money and see Journeyman fired.

Was fired shortly there after after another stiff job.

So call it even Mike, give Cigarman a call since your even maybe you can activate your old account you had for 2 whole weeks.

My favourite Journeyman moment is when he scammed and stiffed J Money then threatened him by saying his uncle is in tight with the Gambino Family.

"They are Big in Ohio. I will find you!"
